- Two full-size cruise cases plus cabin bags
- Enough for a couple on a short sailing
- Not enough for four people on a fortnight
Cruise luggage is the problem a sedan cannot solve. A fortnight at sea means full-size cases, not cabin bags, and the vehicle is sized for them before it leaves the depot. One published price per suburb covers either terminal — White Bay at Rozelle or the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay — because we price by where you live, not by where the ship is berthed.
The short answer
A transfer to the Sydney cruise terminals from this district is a private, fixed-fare run of 46–199 minutes depending on your suburb, priced from $179 for one or two passengers and up to $989 for eleven in one vehicle — the same number to White Bay or to Circular Quay.

Distance and time
These are measured road times rather than optimistic estimates, taken across the three districts we cover. Your own suburb page carries the exact figure for your address.
| District | Road distance | Typical drive |
|---|---|---|
| Wollondilly Shire Picton, Tahmoor, Bargo | 61–165 km | 56–199 min |
| Macarthur Camden, Narellan, Campbelltown | 51–79 km | 46–77 min |
| Southern Highlands Mittagong, Bowral, Moss Vale | 100–145 km | 75–113 min |
White Bay is reached from the west and is usually the quicker of the two terminals from this district. Circular Quay means coming through the city, so allow the upper end.
How it works on the day
Sydney has two cruise terminals and they are on opposite sides of the harbour. Getting this wrong on embarkation morning is expensive in a way that is hard to recover from, so it is worth checking the ticket rather than assuming. Your booking confirmation names the berth; if it does not, the cruise line's departure schedule will.
The one people picture — right at Circular Quay under the Bridge, used by most P&O, Princess and Royal Caribbean departures. Dropped at the terminal doors.
Across the harbour at Rozelle, used heavily by Carnival and by ships too large for Circular Quay. Reached from the west, so from this district it is often the quicker of the two.
This is the fact that catches most people. There is no long-stay car park at either terminal — leaving a car for a fortnight is not an option the way it is at the airport.
Most lines board in deck or group order across a window of several hours. If your ticket gives you a boarding time, we time the pickup to it rather than dropping everyone at open.
Tell us the ship and the sailing date and we will confirm the terminal with you before the day, rather than finding out at the wrong wharf.
The vehicle that turns up
The vehicle is chosen by the size of your party and the volume of luggage, then held for you. Prices shown are the lowest published fare in that band; your own suburb's number is in the table above.
On a cruise run the case count matters more than the head count. Two people with four full-size cases are a people-mover booking, not a sedan one. See the full fleet.
Where we run
Seventy-five suburbs across three districts, each with its own published fare to White Bay and the Overseas Passenger Terminal and its own page for embarkation day. Four towns per district are shown here.
Picton, Tahmoor, Bargo, The Oaks, Warragamba and the small settlements west of them.
Every suburb in this district →Camden, Narellan, Oran Park, Campbelltown, Menangle and the new estates around them.
Weighing it up
Embarkation morning has a hard deadline and a lot of luggage, which narrows the sensible options considerably.
| The alternative | What it actually means | With a fixed-fare transfer |
|---|---|---|
| Drive and park nearby | Neither White Bay nor the Overseas Passenger Terminal has long-stay parking. Commercial parking in Rozelle or the city across a fortnight is expensive and has to be booked separately. | Dropped at the terminal doors, car left at home, nothing to arrange at the other end. |
| Train to Circular Quay | Genuinely workable for a solo traveller with a cabin bag going to the Overseas Passenger Terminal — the station is right there. Much less workable with two full cruise cases, and no help at all for White Bay. | Door to terminal with the luggage handled, to whichever berth your ship is at. |
| Rideshare | A booking with two large cases and a 5am start from the Highlands is optimistic, and embarkation morning is exactly when you cannot absorb a cancellation. | Vehicle sized for cruise luggage and allocated in advance. |
| A taxi | Metered, open-ended, and you are still gambling on a car large enough for the cases turning up. | Fixed fare, vehicle chosen for the luggage before it leaves the depot. |
We have written each of these up properly — see transfer or taxi, transfer or rideshare, transfer or train and transfer or airport parking.
Why book this rather than something else
The vehicle is chosen for case volume, not just seat count. A family of four with four full-size cases gets the people mover, because embarkation morning is the worst possible time to discover the boot is too small.
White Bay or Circular Quay, the price is the same, because it is set by the suburb you are leaving rather than by which side of the harbour your ship is on.
Neither terminal has long-stay parking, and the walk from commercial parking with two weeks of luggage is genuinely unpleasant. You are put down at the entrance.
Cruises get rescheduled and itineraries change. Because no money moves at booking, a moved sailing date is a diary edit rather than a refund request.
Start to finish
The ship tells us the terminal, the date tells us the traffic, and the case count tells us the vehicle. If you have a boarding window on your ticket, send that too.
We check the berth against the cruise line's schedule so nobody ends up at the wrong wharf, then confirm your suburb's published fare. Nothing is charged.
At your door, with room for full-size cases rather than cabin bags, and time built in for loading them properly.
White Bay or Circular Quay, at the doors. You pay the driver there and go and find your gangway.

The other five routes

Everything else
Between $179 and $989 one way, and it is the same number to White Bay or to the Overseas Passenger Terminal — we price by the suburb you are leaving from, not by which side of the harbour your ship is berthed at.
Your booking confirmation names the berth. Most P&O, Princess and Royal Caribbean departures use the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay; Carnival and the larger ships generally use White Bay at Rozelle. If you are not sure, tell us the ship and the sailing date and we will confirm it with you before the day.
No — and this is the fact that catches most people out. Neither White Bay nor the Overseas Passenger Terminal has long-stay parking. Leaving a car for a fortnight is simply not an option the way it is at the airport, which is the main reason cruise passengers from this district book a transfer.
Between 46 and 199 minutes depending on your suburb. White Bay is reached from the west and is often the quicker of the two from here; Circular Quay means coming through the city.
Most cruise lines board by deck or group across a window of several hours rather than all at once. If your ticket gives you a boarding time we time the pickup to it. If it does not, we aim for the earlier part of the window so you are not the last aboard.
This is the question that matters most on a cruise run, and it is why the vehicle is sized before it leaves the depot. A fortnight at sea means full-size cases rather than cabin bags. Tell us how many cases as well as how many people and the right vehicle is allocated.
Embarkation delays are usually announced the day before. Send us the revised time and the pickup moves at no cost — nothing has been charged, so there is nothing to unwind.
Yes, and it is worth booking both legs at once so the return is in the diary before the ship sails. Each leg is priced at the same published suburb fare.
For one person with a cabin bag heading to the Overseas Passenger Terminal, genuinely yes — Circular Quay station is right there. With two full cruise cases it is considerably less appealing, and for White Bay there is no station at all.
No. Nothing is charged at booking and no card is held, which matters on a trip usually arranged months in advance. The driver is paid on embarkation day.
No. Tolls, GST, standard luggage and child restraints are all inside it, and the price is the same to White Bay or the Overseas Passenger Terminal.
No. It is your vehicle from your door to the wharf, which on a cruise run matters mainly because the luggage space is yours alone.
Yes, with restraints fitted and included in the fare. Tell us the ages at booking — on a cruise run we need to know the restraints and the case count together, because both compete for the same space.
Earlier than an airport run. Ships sail on fixed dates and a whole district's worth of passengers wants the same morning, so the larger vehicles go first.
By luggage volume as much as by seats. Two people with four full-size cases are a people-mover booking rather than a sedan one, and we would rather you told us the case count than discovered the problem at the door.

A locally owned, owner-operated transfer service based in Wollondilly Shire. The vehicles are ours and the drivers are ours — your booking is not passed on to another company, which is why the fare you are quoted is the fare you pay.
Tell us the ship and the sailing date and we will confirm the terminal, the fare and a vehicle sized for the cases. Nothing is charged until the morning you sail.
Available every day of the year, at any hour; set fees apply for pickups before 6am or after 8pm. See the full fare list, the fleet, or our frequently asked questions.
