Cruise transfers from Darkes Forest (orchard country on the escarpment edge, closer to the Illawarra than to anywhere in the shire) to both Sydney terminals, at one agreed fare with the boarding window built into the pickup time.
Wollondilly Airport Shuttle drives Darkes Forest (NSW 2508) to both Sydney cruise terminals — a fixed-fare private transfer, not a shared shuttle. White Bay Cruise Terminal at Rozelle is 60 km from the Darkes Forest Road corner, about 1 hr 6 min; the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is 62 km, about 1 hr 8 min. The fare is $239 one way for one or two passengers, rising to $339 for eleven in one vehicle — the same at either cruise terminal, with Sydney Airport at $199. Boarding runs by deck and luggage tag rather than a published time, so the pickup is set against your boarding window. Nothing is payable in advance. Arrange it now and sail day starts at your own front door. Quote on 0427 143 612.
One fare, either terminal
$239 one way for a couple, rising only with the number of seats. Which terminal you sail from makes no difference.
| Passengers | Vehicle | Fixed fare (one way) | Typical booking |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | Sedan | $239 | couples and solo travellers |
| 3 | Kia Carnival | $259 | a family of three with cases |
| 4 | Kia Carnival | $259 | four adults and luggage |
| 5 | People Mover | $279 | school-holiday family runs |
| 6 | People Mover | $279 | two households travelling together |
| 7 | Minibus | $319 | extended family departures |
| 8 | Minibus | $319 | cruise parties with full cases |
| 9 | Minibus | $339 | wedding guests travelling as one |
| 10 | Minibus | $339 | clubs and work groups |
| 11 | Minibus | $339 | the maximum in a single vehicle |
Tolls, GST, one suitcase and one carry-on per passenger and child restraints are inside that number; a pickup before 6am adds $20. Nothing is charged when you book. No advance payment and no card hold — you pay on the day of travel. Fares reviewed August 2026.
The fare does not change with the terminal. Rozelle or Circular Quay, the number was set by your suburb and your group size.
Sized for the cases
Four classes, and on a sail day the choice is nearly always driven by what is going in the back.

Every class includes the same things. Tolls and GST are inside the fare, child restraints are fitted before we leave at no cost, arrivals are tracked by flight number, and there is no advance payment — you pay on the day of travel. The only thing that changes between cards is how many people and how much luggage fit.
Door to gangway
Allow about 1 hr 6 min for the 60 km from the Darkes Forest Road corner to White Bay at Rozelle, and about 1 hr 8 min for the 62 km to the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay. A long cruise departure with the escarpment roads at the start and Appin Road's truck traffic after. We leave early and we plan around both.
The motorway section is the predictable part. What varies is the last two kilometres: James Craig Road into White Bay backs up when two ships turn around on the same morning, and the kerb at Circular Quay is short and heavily marshalled. Both allowances are already inside the pickup time we give you.
Coming home again? Disembarkation pickups are on the cruise terminal to Darkes Forest page.
Boarding windows, not departure times
We plan the pickup from the boarding window on your documents. The terminal approach on a busy sail day is the part most people underestimate.
Rough figures until we have your documents. Once we do, the pickup is set against your actual window.
Where we set you down

White Bay sits at Rozelle, off James Craig Road. The approach queues on a sail day, so we allow for it rather than dropping you three streets short — the vehicle goes to the terminal doors and the cases come out there.
The OPT sits right on the Quay, which makes it the scenic terminal and the awkward one to drive into. We do it at the door anyway.
Pickup from the address you give us, early enough that the queue at the terminal is somebody else's problem.
The two terminals
White Bay at Rozelle is 60 km from Darkes Forest and the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is 62 km. Your cruise documents name the one you need; both cost the same and both are driven to the terminal doors.
about 1 hr 6 min · Victoria Rd and James Craig Rd
Where P&O and most of the shorter sailings go from. The approach up James Craig Road is the slow part on a busy morning, and it is already inside the time we quote. Full detail on the White Bay transfers page.
about 1 hr 8 min · into the city, tightest kerb of the two
The city terminal, right on the harbour, and the tighter of the two kerbs on a sail day. We drop at the entrance rather than several streets short.
$239 to either terminal. Rozelle or Circular Quay, weekday or weekend — the fare was set by your suburb and your group size, not by where the ship happens to be berthed.
Get Free QuoteThe honest comparison
The luggage is what rules most of these out. It is not the distance to the harbour, it is getting a fortnight's packing there without four changes.
| Option | Typical cost (2 adults) | Door to terminal | What it actually involves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer (us) | $239 fixed | ~1 hr 6 min, door to terminal | one fixed fare, a boot that fits the cases, and a drop at the terminal doors whatever the queue is doing |
| Train and a walk | Opal fares, plus a drive to the station | 2 hrs or more, with the cases | White Bay has no station at all; Circular Quay has one, but reaching it from Darkes Forest means a drive, a change and a walk with cruise luggage |
| Rideshare or taxi | metered, and surge-dependent | ~1 hr 6 min if a car accepts | darkes Forest is the far corner of our area and it has nothing — no station, no rank, no realistic rideshare |
| Drive and park | fuel and tolls plus from about $190 a week in budget long-stay parking | ~1 hr 6 min plus finding somewhere to leave it | there is no long-stay parking at either terminal, so it means leaving a car somewhere in the inner west for the length of the cruise |
Neither cruise terminal has long-stay parking of its own, and neither is reachable from Darkes Forest without a car at one end. The honest summary: for a solo traveller with a cabin bag the train to Circular Quay is possible; for two people with a fortnight of luggage it is not.
One vehicle, one fare

Eleven passengers and their luggage travel in one minibus for $339 — about $31 a seat, against three separate cars at whatever the apps are charging that morning. Everyone leaves at once and arrives at once.
Give us the headcount and a rough bag count when you book. If the group is flying out on two different flights, say so and we will either run two pickups or hold one vehicle — a much easier decision now than at 4am.
Booked car or app
A metered or surge-priced trip of 60 km has no ceiling until it ends. Yours was $239 the moment you booked.
An app at 4am in this district is a hope, not a plan. A pre-booked driver is on the sheet with your address and your flight number.
Cruise cases are bigger and there are more of them. A vehicle chosen from your case count beats one that happened to accept the job.
Why pre-book the western run
A cruise generates more luggage than a flight, and the vehicle is chosen from your case count rather than your headcount.
White Bay at Rozelle and the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay cost the same as each other.
Not to the departure time on the ticket, which is a different and less useful number.
No deposit and no card held. You pay the driver at the terminal, by card, cash or PayID.
James Craig Road and the Quay both queue on a sail day. That time is already inside the pickup we quoted.
Capsules, forward-facing seats and boosters fitted before we arrive.

Questions, answered plainly
A fixed $239 one way for one or two passengers, up to $339 for eleven in one vehicle. It is your suburb's published cruise fare — the same whichever terminal you sail from.
Both terminals, same price. White Bay (60 km from here) is the easier approach; the OPT at Circular Quay (62 km) has the tighter kerb but puts you right on the harbour.
About 1 hr 6 min for the 60 km to White Bay, and 1 hr 8 min for the 62 km to Circular Quay. The motorway part is predictable; the last two kilometres into either terminal are the slow bit on a sail day, and that is already inside the time we quote.
We use the boarding window on your cruise documents, not the sailing time. Those are different numbers and the second one is no use for planning a pickup.
Plenty, provided we know in advance. On a sail day the luggage usually outranks the passenger count when we choose the class.
No. Nothing is charged at booking and no card is held. You pay the driver at the terminal on the day, by card, cash or PayID, with a tax invoice emailed afterwards if you want one.
Yes, and most people book both at once. Disembarkation runs by luggage tag rather than a published time, so the return is worked off a message from you at the terminal doors — the detail is on the cruise terminal to Darkes Forest page.
One minibus takes eleven for $339. Groups sailing together usually have more luggage than the seat count implies, which is worth mentioning at booking.
There is no train to White Bay at all, and reaching Circular Quay from Darkes Forest means a drive to a station, a change or two, and a walk with a fortnight's packing.
Yes and no charge — but the ages matter at booking, because the seats go in before we set off.
Yes — the early boarding windows are routine here; pickups before 6am add $20. Darkes Forest is the far corner of our area and it has nothing — no station, no rank, no realistic rideshare.
Earlier than you would for a flight. The cruise season concentrates a lot of sailings into a few weeks.
Yes, provided they are close together. Two or three stops in the same suburb is normal on a cruise booking and does not change the fare; stops in different towns are quoted separately so nobody is surprised.
Tell us and the booking moves at no cost. Nothing is charged in advance, so there is no cancellation fee and nothing to refund.
