What does the run from Belimbla Park to the cruise terminal cost?
A fixed $279 one way for one or two passengers, up to $379 for eleven in one vehicle. It is your suburb's published cruise fare — the same whichever terminal you sail from.
Which terminal will my ship sail from?
Both. White Bay is at Rozelle and takes most of the shorter sailings; the Overseas Passenger Terminal is at Circular Quay and takes the larger international ships. Your cruise documents name the one you need — from Belimbla Park it is 81 km to White Bay and 83 km to the Quay.
How much time should we allow for the drive?
About 1 hr 10 min for the 81 km to White Bay, and 1 hr 14 min for the 83 km to Circular Quay. The motorway part is predictable; the last two kilometres into either terminal are the slow bit on a sail day, and that is already inside the time we quote.
How do you work out the pickup time for a cruise?
Backwards from your boarding window. Send the documents and we set the exact time; on a morning when two ships turn around together we start earlier.
Do you have room for a fortnight's packing?
Cruise bags are bigger and there are more of them, which is why we ask about them at booking rather than discovering the problem in your driveway. The vehicle is sized from the back forwards.
Do I pay before the sailing?
No deposit and no card on file. Payment happens on the day you sail.
Do you pick us up again when the ship comes back?
Yes, and most people book both at once. Disembarkation runs by luggage tag rather than a published time, so the return is worked off a message from you at the terminal doors — the detail is on the cruise terminal to Belimbla Park page.
Do you have a vehicle for a group sailing?
Yes — eleven passengers in one minibus for $379, about $34 a seat. On a cruise run the luggage is the limit rather than the seats, so tell us the case count and we will be straight with you about whether it all fits.
What are the alternatives to a booked car?
Not sensibly. White Bay has no rail station and the bus connections from Belimbla Park involve several changes with your cruise luggage. Circular Quay has a station, but getting to it from here with the cases is the trip you were trying to avoid.
Are child seats available?
Yes and no charge — but the ages matter at booking, because the seats go in before we set off.
Do you run the very early sail-day starts?
Any hour, including weekends and public holidays; set fees apply for pickups before 6am or after 8pm. Nothing serves Belimbla Park at any hour, let alone after midnight.
How much notice do you need?
A day or two outside the peak. Over the summer sailing season, considerably more; that is when the terminals and the fleet are both busiest.
We are travelling with family from two houses — is that possible?
Several doors in the same town is an ordinary arrangement. Tell us the addresses at booking and we plan the order around the boarding window.
Is there a cancellation fee?
Tell us and the booking moves at no cost. Nothing is charged in advance, so there is no cancellation fee and nothing to refund.
How close do you get to the ship?
As close as the marshals allow, which at both terminals is the entrance itself.
Which suburbs nearby do you drive to the cruise terminals?
Oakdale, Mowbray Park, The Oaks, Orangeville and the rest of the district — all 75 suburbs across Wollondilly Shire, Macarthur and the Southern Highlands, each with its own published fare and its own distance to both terminals.
