Sail day, sorted before it starts. Fixed-fare private transfers from Welby to White Bay and Circular Quay — the working edge of Mittagong, between the motorway and the railway line — with room for the luggage a cruise actually generates.
Wollondilly Airport Shuttle drives Welby (NSW 2575) to both Sydney cruise terminals — a fixed-fare private transfer, not a shared shuttle. White Bay Cruise Terminal at Rozelle is 116 km from the Welby shops on Old Hume Highway, about 1 hr 55 min; the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is 118 km, about 2 hr. The fare is $315 one way for one or two passengers, rising to $455 for eleven in one vehicle — the same at either cruise terminal, with Sydney Airport at $275. Boarding runs by deck and luggage tag rather than a published time, so the pickup is set against your boarding window. Nothing is payable in advance. Send the sailing details and we work the pickup back from them. Quote on 0427 143 612.
One fare, either terminal
$315 one way for a couple, rising only with the number of seats. Which terminal you sail from makes no difference.
| Passengers | Vehicle | Fixed fare (one way) | Typical booking |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | Sedan | $315 | one or two travellers |
| 3 | Kia Carnival | $345 | a small family |
| 4 | Kia Carnival | $345 | four with luggage |
| 5 | People Mover | $375 | holiday departures |
| 6 | People Mover | $375 | two families travelling together |
| 7 | Minibus | $425 | extended families |
| 8 | Minibus | $425 | cruise passengers with full cases |
| 9 | Minibus | $455 | guests travelling as one group |
| 10 | Minibus | $455 | group and club travel |
| 11 | Minibus | $455 | the largest single vehicle |
That price is final — tolls, GST, the cases and any child seats — paid to the driver on the day rather than at booking. No advance payment and no card hold — you pay on the day of travel. Fares reviewed August 2026.
One booking, both ends. Most people book the disembarkation pickup at the same time — same operator, nothing to arrange from a ship's wifi.
Sized for the cases
Tell us the case count as well as the headcount — on a cruise run the luggage usually picks the vehicle.

Every class includes the same things. Tolls and GST are inside the fare, child restraints are fitted before we leave at no cost, arrivals are tracked by flight number, and there is no advance payment — you pay on the day of travel. The only thing that changes between cards is how many people and how much luggage fit.
Door to gangway
Allow about 1 hr 55 min for the 116 km from the Welby shops on Old Hume Highway to White Bay at Rozelle, and about 2 hr for the 118 km to the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay. A simple cruise departure with immediate motorway access. Only the M5 East decides the timing.
The motorway section is the predictable part. What varies is the last two kilometres: James Craig Road into White Bay backs up when two ships turn around on the same morning, and the kerb at Circular Quay is short and heavily marshalled. Both allowances are already inside the pickup time we give you.
Coming home again? Disembarkation pickups are on the cruise terminal to Welby page.
Boarding windows, not departure times
A ship does not leave the moment you arrive, and it will not wait either. The pickup is set from your boarding window plus the drive plus the terminal approach.
Treat them as a starting point. Two ships turning around on the same morning changes the approach considerably, which is what we allow for.
Where we set you down

White Bay is the easier of the two to reach and the harder one to leave. We set you down at the terminal entrance with the luggage out, and the queue up James Craig Road is our problem rather than yours.
Circular Quay is the city terminal and the harder drop of the two. The vehicle goes to the OPT entrance, not to the nearest legal parking spot several minutes away.
We collect from your driveway at an hour set by the sailing, and drive straight through with nobody else in the vehicle.
The two terminals
White Bay at Rozelle is 116 km from Welby and the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is 118 km. Your cruise documents name the one you need; both cost the same and both are driven to the terminal doors.
about 1 hr 55 min · Victoria Rd and James Craig Rd
Where P&O and most of the shorter sailings go from. The approach up James Craig Road is the slow part on a busy morning, and it is already inside the time we quote. Full detail on the White Bay transfers page.
about 2 hr · into the city, tightest kerb of the two
The city terminal, right on the harbour, and the tighter of the two kerbs on a sail day. We drop at the entrance rather than several streets short.
$315 to either terminal. Rozelle or Circular Quay, weekday or weekend — the fare was set by your suburb and your group size, not by where the ship happens to be berthed.
Get Free QuoteThe honest comparison
The luggage is what rules most of these out. It is not the distance to the harbour, it is getting a fortnight's packing there without four changes.
| Option | Typical cost (2 adults) | Door to terminal | What it actually involves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer (us) | $315 fixed | ~1 hr 55 min, door to terminal | a published price, your own vehicle, and a driver rostered for a 5am sail-day start |
| Train and a walk | Opal fares, plus a drive to the station | 2 hrs or more, with the cases | White Bay has no station at all; Circular Quay has one, but reaching it from Welby means a drive, a change and a walk with cruise luggage |
| Rideshare or taxi | metered, and surge-dependent | ~1 hr 55 min if a car accepts | practical arrivals rather than leisurely ones — work trips, family visits, and a fair number of one-way legs where somebody is being dropped rather than making a round trip |
| Drive and park | fuel and tolls plus from about $190 a week in budget long-stay parking | ~1 hr 55 min plus finding somewhere to leave it | there is no long-stay parking at either terminal, so it means leaving a car somewhere in the inner west for the length of the cruise |
Neither cruise terminal has long-stay parking of its own, and neither is reachable from Welby without a car at one end. The honest summary: for a solo traveller with a cabin bag the train to Circular Quay is possible; for two people with a fortnight of luggage it is not.
One vehicle, one fare

Eleven passengers and their luggage travel in one minibus for $455 — about $41 a seat, against three separate cars at whatever the apps are charging that morning. Everyone leaves at once and arrives at once.
Give us the headcount and a rough bag count when you book. If the group is flying out on two different flights, say so and we will either run two pickups or hold one vehicle — a much easier decision now than at 4am.
Booked car or app
A metered or surge-priced trip of 116 km has no ceiling until it ends. Yours was $315 the moment you booked.
An app at 4am in this district is a hope, not a plan. A pre-booked driver is on the sheet with your address and your flight number.
Cruise cases are bigger and there are more of them. A vehicle chosen from your case count beats one that happened to accept the job.
Why pre-book the western run
A cruise generates more luggage than a flight, and the vehicle is chosen from your case count rather than your headcount.
White Bay at Rozelle and the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay cost the same as each other.
Not to the departure time on the ticket, which is a different and less useful number.
No deposit and no card held. You pay the driver at the terminal, by card, cash or PayID.
James Craig Road and the Quay both queue on a sail day. That time is already inside the pickup we quoted.
Capsules, forward-facing seats and boosters fitted before we arrive.

Questions, answered plainly
$315 for a couple, rising in fixed steps to $455 for a full eleven-seat minibus. The cruise terminals have their own published fare, with no sail-day loading.
Both terminals, same price. White Bay (116 km from here) is the easier approach; the OPT at Circular Quay (118 km) has the tighter kerb but puts you right on the harbour.
116 km and roughly 1 hr 55 min to Rozelle; 118 km and about 2 hr to the Quay. Allow for the terminal approach on top of the drive — we do.
We use the boarding window on your cruise documents, not the sailing time. Those are different numbers and the second one is no use for planning a pickup.
Cruise bags are bigger and there are more of them, which is why we ask about them at booking rather than discovering the problem in your driveway. The vehicle is sized from the back forwards.
No deposit and no card on file. Payment happens on the day you sail.
Yes, and most people book both at once. Disembarkation runs by luggage tag rather than a published time, so the return is worked off a message from you at the terminal doors — the detail is on the cruise terminal to Welby page.
Yes — eleven passengers in one minibus for $455, about $41 a seat. On a cruise run the luggage is the limit rather than the seats, so tell us the case count and we will be straight with you about whether it all fits.
Not sensibly. White Bay has no rail station and the bus connections from Welby involve several changes with your cruise luggage. Circular Quay has a station, but getting to it from here with the cases is the trip you were trying to avoid.
Yes and no charge — but the ages matter at booking, because the seats go in before we set off.
Any hour, including weekends and public holidays; set fees apply for pickups before 6am or after 8pm. Practical arrivals rather than leisurely ones — work trips, family visits, and a fair number of one-way legs where somebody is being dropped rather than making a round trip.
That is most of what we do. Fares, drive times and leave-by tables for Sydney Airport are on the Welby to Sydney Airport page, and Western Sydney International has its own page.
Twenty-four to forty-eight hours is comfortable, but the January and Christmas cruise season fills much earlier — for those, book when you book the cabin.
Several doors in the same town is an ordinary arrangement. Tell us the addresses at booking and we plan the order around the boarding window.
Tell us and the booking moves at no cost. Nothing is charged in advance, so there is no cancellation fee and nothing to refund.
