Cruise transfers from Picton (the shire's old administrative town, folded into the valley around Stonequarry Creek and the sandstone viaduct) to both Sydney terminals, at one agreed fare with the boarding window built into the pickup time.
Wollondilly Airport Shuttle drives Picton (NSW 2571) to both Sydney cruise terminals — a fixed-fare private transfer, not a shared shuttle. White Bay Cruise Terminal at Rozelle is 85 km from Argyle Street and the shops around the railway end of town, about 1 hr 8 min; the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is 87 km, about 1 hr 13 min. The fare is $275 one way for one or two passengers, rising to $375 for eleven in one vehicle — the same at either cruise terminal, with Sydney Airport at $235. Boarding runs by deck and luggage tag rather than a published time, so the pickup is set against your boarding window. Nothing is payable in advance. One message books it; nothing is charged until the day. Quote on 0427 143 612.
One fare, either terminal
The cruise terminals have their own published fare. One or two passengers pay $275, against $235 to Sydney Airport.
| Passengers | Vehicle | Fixed fare (one way) | Typical booking |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | Sedan | $275 | solo flyers and couples |
| 3 | Kia Carnival | $295 | three with the cases |
| 4 | Kia Carnival | $295 | four adults, no squeeze |
| 5 | People Mover | $315 | family holidays |
| 6 | People Mover | $315 | two couples sharing the run |
| 7 | Minibus | $345 | larger family departures |
| 8 | Minibus | $345 | two families sharing one vehicle |
| 9 | Minibus | $375 | sports teams and club trips |
| 10 | Minibus | $375 | teams and work crews |
| 11 | Minibus | $375 | the most we fit in one vehicle |
Tolls, GST, one suitcase and one carry-on per passenger and child restraints are inside that number; a pickup before 6am adds $20. Nothing is charged when you book. No advance payment and no card hold — you pay on the day of travel. Fares reviewed August 2026.
The fare does not change with the terminal. Rozelle or Circular Quay, the number was set by your suburb and your group size.
Sized for the cases
Four classes, and on a sail day the choice is nearly always driven by what is going in the back.

Every class includes the same things. Tolls and GST are inside the fare, child restraints are fitted before we leave at no cost, arrivals are tracked by flight number, and there is no advance payment — you pay on the day of travel. The only thing that changes between cards is how many people and how much luggage fit.
Door to gangway
Allow about 1 hr 8 min for the 85 km from Argyle Street and the shops around the railway end of town to White Bay at Rozelle, and about 1 hr 13 min for the 87 km to the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay. Cruise mornings from Picton mean leaving in the dark. The terminals want you aboard by early afternoon, which puts the drive squarely inside the weekday peak, so we set off well before the M5 East fills. Picton's cruise trade is largely retired couples and it comes with the luggage volume that implies — this is a people mover booking, not a sedan one.
The motorway section is the predictable part. What varies is the last two kilometres: James Craig Road into White Bay backs up when two ships turn around on the same morning, and the kerb at Circular Quay is short and heavily marshalled. Both allowances are already inside the pickup time we give you.
Coming home again? Disembarkation pickups are on the cruise terminal to Picton page.
Boarding windows, not departure times
We plan the pickup from the boarding window on your documents. The terminal approach on a busy sail day is the part most people underestimate.
Rough figures until we have your documents. Once we do, the pickup is set against your actual window.
Where we set you down

White Bay sits at Rozelle, off James Craig Road. The approach queues on a sail day, so we allow for it rather than dropping you three streets short — the vehicle goes to the terminal doors and the cases come out there.
The OPT sits right on the Quay, which makes it the scenic terminal and the awkward one to drive into. We do it at the door anyway.
Pickup from the address you give us, early enough that the queue at the terminal is somebody else's problem.
The two terminals
White Bay at Rozelle is 85 km from Picton and the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is 87 km. Your cruise documents name the one you need; both cost the same and both are driven to the terminal doors.
about 1 hr 8 min · Victoria Rd and James Craig Rd
Where P&O and most of the shorter sailings go from. The approach up James Craig Road is the slow part on a busy morning, and it is already inside the time we quote. Full detail on the White Bay transfers page.
about 1 hr 13 min · into the city, tightest kerb of the two
The city terminal, right on the harbour, and the tighter of the two kerbs on a sail day. We drop at the entrance rather than several streets short.
$275 to either terminal. Rozelle or Circular Quay, weekday or weekend — the fare was set by your suburb and your group size, not by where the ship happens to be berthed.
Get Free QuoteThe honest comparison
The luggage is what rules most of these out. It is not the distance to the harbour, it is getting a fortnight's packing there without four changes.
| Option | Typical cost (2 adults) | Door to terminal | What it actually involves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer (us) | $275 fixed | ~1 hr 8 min, door to terminal | a published price, your own vehicle, and a driver rostered for a 5am sail-day start |
| Train and a walk | Opal fares, plus a drive to the station | 2 hrs or more, with the cases | White Bay has no station at all; Circular Quay has one, but reaching it from Picton means a drive, a change and a walk with cruise luggage |
| Rideshare or taxi | metered, and surge-dependent | ~1 hr 8 min if a car accepts | picton after eleven is genuinely dark and genuinely quiet |
| Drive and park | fuel and tolls plus from about $190 a week in budget long-stay parking | ~1 hr 8 min plus finding somewhere to leave it | there is no long-stay parking at either terminal, so it means leaving a car somewhere in the inner west for the length of the cruise |
Neither cruise terminal has long-stay parking of its own, and neither is reachable from Picton without a car at one end. The honest summary: for a solo traveller with a cabin bag the train to Circular Quay is possible; for two people with a fortnight of luggage it is not.
One vehicle, one fare

Eleven passengers and their luggage travel in one minibus for $375 — about $34 a seat, against three separate cars at whatever the apps are charging that morning. Everyone leaves at once and arrives at once.
Give us the headcount and a rough bag count when you book. If the group is flying out on two different flights, say so and we will either run two pickups or hold one vehicle — a much easier decision now than at 4am.
Booked car or app
A metered or surge-priced trip of 85 km has no ceiling until it ends. Yours was $275 the moment you booked.
An app at 4am in this district is a hope, not a plan. A pre-booked driver is on the sheet with your address and your flight number.
Cruise cases are bigger and there are more of them. A vehicle chosen from your case count beats one that happened to accept the job.
Why pre-book the western run
On a cruise run the bags outrank the passengers when we pick the class, which is why we ask for a case count.
White Bay and the OPT are priced identically to each other.
The ticket time is when the ship leaves. The useful number is when your deck can board.
No deposit, no card on file, and no cancellation fee if the sailing moves.
Both approaches are slow on a sail day and both are already allowed for in your pickup time.
Capsules and boosters at no charge, installed before the vehicle leaves.

Questions, answered plainly
Between $275 and $375, decided by how many seats you need. Rozelle and Circular Quay cost the same.
Both. White Bay is at Rozelle and takes most of the shorter sailings; the Overseas Passenger Terminal is at Circular Quay and takes the larger international ships. Your cruise documents name the one you need — from Picton it is 85 km to White Bay and 87 km to the Quay.
85 km and roughly 1 hr 8 min to Rozelle; 87 km and about 1 hr 13 min to the Quay. Allow for the terminal approach on top of the drive — we do.
From your boarding window rather than the departure time on the ticket. Cruise lines board by deck and luggage tag across several hours, so the useful number is when your deck can board — we work back from that, plus the drive and the terminal approach.
Cruise bags are bigger and there are more of them, which is why we ask about them at booking rather than discovering the problem in your driveway. The vehicle is sized from the back forwards.
No deposit and no card on file. Payment happens on the day you sail.
Yes, and most people book both at once. Disembarkation runs by luggage tag rather than a published time, so the return is worked off a message from you at the terminal doors — the detail is on the cruise terminal to Picton page.
One minibus takes eleven for $375. Groups sailing together usually have more luggage than the seat count implies, which is worth mentioning at booking.
Not sensibly. White Bay has no rail station and the bus connections from Picton involve several changes with your cruise luggage. Circular Quay has a station, but getting to it from here with the cases is the trip you were trying to avoid.
All three types, free, and installed before the vehicle leaves. Give us the ages at booking.
Every day of the year, with no weekend or holiday loading. Early sail-day starts are ordinary work; pickups before 6am add $20. Picton after eleven is genuinely dark and genuinely quiet.
That is most of what we do. Fares, drive times and leave-by tables for Sydney Airport are on the Picton to Sydney Airport page, and Western Sydney International has its own page.
A day or two outside the peak. Over the summer sailing season, considerably more; that is when the terminals and the fleet are both busiest.
Yes, provided they are close together. Two or three stops in the same suburb is normal on a cruise booking and does not change the fare; stops in different towns are quoted separately so nobody is surprised.
No fee either way. We move it to the new date and the fare stays the same.
As close as the marshals allow, which at both terminals is the entrance itself.
