The cruise run from Cataract, done properly. the catchment country around the dam, where the bush closes in and the addresses are few — and we set the pickup against your boarding window rather than a guess at the traffic.
Wollondilly Airport Shuttle drives Cataract (NSW 2560) to both Sydney cruise terminals — a fixed-fare private transfer, not a shared shuttle. White Bay Cruise Terminal at Rozelle is 76 km from the Cataract Dam Road turnoff, about 1 hr 17 min; the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is 79 km, about 1 hr 19 min. The fare is $269 one way for one or two passengers, rising to $409 for eleven in one vehicle — the same at either cruise terminal, with Sydney Airport at $229. Boarding runs by deck and luggage tag rather than a published time, so the pickup is set against your boarding window. Nothing is payable in advance. Send the sailing details and we work the pickup back from them. Quote on 0427 143 612.
One fare, either terminal
Each suburb has its own published cruise fare, the same to either terminal — $269 for one or two people.

| 3 | Kia Carnival | $299 | a family of three with cases |
| 4 | Kia Carnival | $299 | four adults and luggage |
| 5 | People Mover | $329 | school-holiday family runs |

| 7 | Minibus | $379 | extended family departures |
| 8 | Minibus | $379 | cruise parties with full cases |
| 9 | Minibus | $409 | wedding guests travelling as one |
| 10 | Minibus | $409 | clubs and work groups |
| 11 | Minibus | $409 | the maximum in a single vehicle |
No weekend loading and no sail-day premium; extra bags beyond one suitcase and one carry-on per passenger are $5 each. What you were quoted is what you pay. No advance payment and no card hold — you pay on the day of travel. Fares reviewed August 2026.
Luggage is the reason people book this one. A cruise generates more of it than a flight does, and it is the difference between the right vehicle and a bad morning.
Sized for the cases
Cruise bags are bigger and there are more of them, so we size the vehicle from the boot up rather than from the seats down.

Every class includes the same things. Tolls and GST are inside the fare, child restraints are fitted before we leave at no cost, arrivals are tracked by flight number, and there is no advance payment — you pay on the day of travel. The only thing that changes between cards is how many people and how much luggage fit.
Door to gangway
Allow about 1 hr 17 min for the 76 km from the Cataract Dam Road turnoff to White Bay at Rozelle, and about 1 hr 19 min for the 79 km to the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay. Cruise departures start with the slow run out to Appin Road in the dark. We confirm the exact access road at booking because several of them look identical at four in the morning.
The motorway section is the predictable part. What varies is the last two kilometres: James Craig Road into White Bay backs up when two ships turn around on the same morning, and the kerb at Circular Quay is short and heavily marshalled. Both allowances are already inside the pickup time we give you.
Coming home again? Disembarkation pickups are on the cruise terminal to Cataract page.
Boarding windows, not departure times
Cruise lines board by deck and luggage tag rather than all at once, so the useful number is your boarding window, not the departure time on the ticket. We work back from that.
These are guides. Send the boarding window from your cruise documents and we set the exact time against it — including for the January and Christmas sailings when the terminal is at its worst.
Where we set you down

Rozelle's White Bay terminal takes most of the shorter sailings. The drop is at the doors, and the approach traffic is already inside the time we quoted you.
The Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay has the tightest kerb in Sydney on a sail day. We drop at the terminal door rather than leaving you to walk the last stretch with a trolley.
The pickup is at your own address, at a time worked back from your boarding window rather than from a round number.
The two terminals
White Bay at Rozelle is 76 km from Cataract and the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is 79 km. Your cruise documents name the one you need; both cost the same and both are driven to the terminal doors.
about 1 hr 17 min · Victoria Rd and James Craig Rd
Where P&O and most of the shorter sailings go from. The approach up James Craig Road is the slow part on a busy morning, and it is already inside the time we quote. Full detail on the White Bay transfers page.
about 1 hr 19 min · into the city, tightest kerb of the two
The city terminal, right on the harbour, and the tighter of the two kerbs on a sail day. We drop at the entrance rather than several streets short.
$269 to either terminal. Rozelle or Circular Quay, weekday or weekend — the fare was set by your suburb and your group size, not by where the ship happens to be berthed.
Get Free QuoteThe honest comparison
The luggage is what rules most of these out. It is not the distance to the harbour, it is getting a fortnight's packing there without four changes.
| Option | Typical cost (2 adults) | Door to terminal | What it actually involves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer (us) | $269 fixed | ~1 hr 17 min, door to terminal | a published price, your own vehicle, and a driver rostered for a 5am sail-day start |
| Train and a walk | Opal fares, plus a drive to the station | 2 hrs or more, with the cases | White Bay has no station at all; Circular Quay has one, but reaching it from Cataract means a drive, a change and a walk with cruise luggage |
| Rideshare or taxi | metered, and surge-dependent | ~1 hr 17 min if a car accepts | catchment country after dark, with no lighting and no passing traffic |
| Drive and park | fuel and tolls plus from about $190 a week in budget long-stay parking | ~1 hr 17 min plus finding somewhere to leave it | there is no long-stay parking at either terminal, so it means leaving a car somewhere in the inner west for the length of the cruise |
Neither cruise terminal has long-stay parking of its own, and neither is reachable from Cataract without a car at one end. The honest summary: for a solo traveller with a cabin bag the train to Circular Quay is possible; for two people with a fortnight of luggage it is not.
One vehicle, one fare

Eleven passengers and their luggage travel in one minibus for $409 — about $37 a seat, against three separate cars at whatever the apps are charging that morning. Everyone leaves at once and arrives at once.
Give us the headcount and a rough bag count when you book. If the group is flying out on two different flights, say so and we will either run two pickups or hold one vehicle — a much easier decision now than at 4am.
Booked car or app
A metered or surge-priced trip of 76 km has no ceiling until it ends. Yours was $269 the moment you booked.
An app at 4am in this district is a hope, not a plan. A pre-booked driver is on the sheet with your address and your flight number.
Cruise cases are bigger and there are more of them. A vehicle chosen from your case count beats one that happened to accept the job.
Why pre-book the western run
Two people going away for two weeks do not travel light. We plan the vehicle around that.
The terminal does not change the fare. Neither does the day of the week.
The pickup is worked back from when you can actually board, plus the drive, plus the queue at the gate.
Nothing is taken when you book, so a changed sailing costs you nothing.
Not to the nearest parking space. The cases come out at the entrance.
Fitted in advance from the ages you give us at booking.

Questions, answered plainly
A fixed $269 one way for one or two passengers, up to $409 for eleven in one vehicle. It is your suburb's published cruise fare — the same whichever terminal you sail from.
We drive to both at the same fare. Rozelle's White Bay is 76 km from Cataract; the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is 79 km. The ticket tells you which, and if it does not, send it to us and we will work it out.
White Bay is 1 hr 17 min away, Circular Quay 1 hr 19 min. Both figures are door to terminal, and both include an allowance for the queue at the far end.
Backwards from your boarding window. Send the documents and we set the exact time; on a morning when two ships turn around together we start earlier.
That is the question that picks the vehicle. A cruise generates more luggage than a flight, so tell us the case count as well as the headcount and we send something with the boot for it — a sedan for a couple travelling light, a people mover or minibus for anything more.
No deposit and no card on file. Payment happens on the day you sail.
Yes, and most people book both at once. Disembarkation runs by luggage tag rather than a published time, so the return is worked off a message from you at the terminal doors — the detail is on the cruise terminal to Cataract page.
Eleven is the maximum in a single vehicle at $409. With a full cruise load we may suggest a second vehicle rather than promise something that will not close.
There is no train to White Bay at all, and reaching Circular Quay from Cataract means a drive to a station, a change or two, and a walk with a fortnight's packing.
Yes and no charge — but the ages matter at booking, because the seats go in before we set off.
Yes — the early boarding windows are routine here; pickups before 6am add $20. Catchment country after dark, with no lighting and no passing traffic.
Earlier than you would for a flight. The cruise season concentrates a lot of sailings into a few weeks.
Yes, provided they are close together. Two or three stops in the same suburb is normal on a cruise booking and does not change the fare; stops in different towns are quoted separately so nobody is surprised.
No fee either way. We move it to the new date and the fare stays the same.
As close as the marshals allow, which at both terminals is the entrance itself.
