Yerranderie Cruise Transfers: White Bay & Circular Quay

Yerranderie to the ship, door to gangway queue. Yerranderie is the old silver-mining town deep in the Burragorang, reached only by unsealed road and long since emptied of its miners, and a cruise run is the one job where the cases decide the vehicle before the headcount does.

Wollondilly Airport Shuttle drives Yerranderie (NSW 2787) to both Sydney cruise terminals — a fixed-fare private transfer, not a shared shuttle. White Bay Cruise Terminal at Rozelle is 305 km from the Yerranderie Regional Park gate, about 5 hr 30 min; the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is 307 km, about 5 hr 35 min. The fare is $809 one way for one or two passengers, rising to $989 for eleven in one vehicle — the same at either cruise terminal, with Sydney Airport at $769. Boarding runs by deck and luggage tag rather than a published time, so the pickup is set against your boarding window. Nothing is payable in advance. Send the sailing details and we work the pickup back from them. Quote on 0427 143 612.

One fare, either terminal

How Much Is a Cruise Transfer from Yerranderie?

A cruise transfer is priced exactly like an airport one: $809 one way for one or two passengers, with the same steps above that.

PassengersVehicleFixed fare (one way)Typical booking
1–2Sedan$809couples and solo travellers
3Kia Carnival$849a family of three with cases

8Minibus$959cruise parties with full cases
9Minibus$989wedding guests travelling as one
10Minibus$989clubs and work groups
11Minibus$989the maximum in a single vehicle

Tolls and GST are included and the date never moves the figure; set fees apply for pickups before 6am or after 8pm. Cruise luggage is not an extra. No advance payment and no card hold — you pay on the day of travel. Fares reviewed August 2026.

Sail day is not a good day to improvise. The boarding window is fixed, the terminal approach is slow, and a rideshare with a small boot solves neither.

Sized for the cases

Which Vehicle Carries a Cruise Load from Yerranderie?

The vehicle is matched to your party and your cases before the day, which is why the boot is never the problem at 5am.

Every class includes the same things. Tolls and GST are inside the fare, child restraints are fitted before we leave at no cost, arrivals are tracked by flight number, and there is no advance payment — you pay on the day of travel. The only thing that changes between cards is how many people and how much luggage fit.

Door to gangway

How Long Is the Drive from Yerranderie to the Cruise Terminals?

Allow about 5 hr 30 min for the 305 km from the Yerranderie Regional Park gate to White Bay at Rozelle, and about 5 hr 35 min for the 307 km to the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay. A cruise departure from Yerranderie needs a conversation days ahead. The track decides everything — the vehicle, the leave-by time and whether it can be done at all.

The motorway section is the predictable part. What varies is the last two kilometres: James Craig Road into White Bay backs up when two ships turn around on the same morning, and the kerb at Circular Quay is short and heavily marshalled. Both allowances are already inside the pickup time we give you.

Coming home again? Disembarkation pickups are on the cruise terminal to Yerranderie page.

Boarding windows, not departure times

What Time Should I Leave Yerranderie for a Sail Day?

Boarding is staggered across several hours, which is what makes sail-day timing different from a flight. Here is how the pickup is worked out.

6:00am international

11:00am boarding window Pickup in Yerranderie around 8:10am, which clears the worst of the weekday run into the city.

6:00am domestic

1:00pm boarding window Pickup around 10:10am. Later windows are calmer on the road and busier at the terminal.

9:00am international

Early or two-ship mornings We start earlier again. When two vessels turn around together the approach queue is the whole problem.

Guides rather than quotes. The boarding window is what turns them into an exact pickup on your booking.

Where we set you down

Where Exactly Does the Driver Set You Down at the Terminal?

Passengers boarding bus at terminal — cruise transfers from Yerranderie
White Bay, Rozelle

At Rozelle the drop is at the White Bay terminal doors. The road in backs up when two ships turn around together, which is exactly what the extra time in the pickup is for.

Overseas Passenger Terminal

At the Overseas Passenger Terminal the kerb is short and the marshals move you on quickly, so the luggage comes out fast and you are at the door rather than around the corner.

Leaving Yerranderie

Starting point is your door, at a time calculated from the boarding window and the terminal approach.

The two terminals

White Bay or Circular Quay: Which Terminal Are You Sailing From?

White Bay at Rozelle is 305 km from Yerranderie and the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is 307 km. Your cruise documents name the one you need; both cost the same and both are driven to the terminal doors.

The honest comparison

What Is the Cheapest Way to Reach the Cruise Terminal from Yerranderie?

The luggage is what rules most of these out. It is not the distance to the harbour, it is getting a fortnight's packing there without four changes.

OptionTypical cost (2 adults)Door to terminalWhat it actually involves
Private transfer (us)$809 fixed~5 hr 30 min, door to terminalone price to either terminal, with the approach traffic already inside it
Train and a walkOpal fares, plus a drive to the station2 hrs or more, with the casesWhite Bay has no station at all; Circular Quay has one, but reaching it from Yerranderie means a drive, a change and a walk with cruise luggage
Rideshare or taximetered, and surge-dependent~5 hr 30 min if a car acceptsno rank and no rideshare will take this run, at any hour
Drive and parkfuel and tolls plus from about $190 a week in budget long-stay parking~5 hr 30 min plus finding somewhere to leave itthere is no long-stay parking at either terminal, so it means leaving a car somewhere in the inner west for the length of the cruise

Neither cruise terminal has long-stay parking of its own, and neither is reachable from Yerranderie without a car at one end. The honest summary: for a solo traveller with a cabin bag the train to Circular Quay is possible; for two people with a fortnight of luggage it is not.

One vehicle, one fare

Sailing as a Group from Yerranderie? One Vehicle Takes Eleven

Family boarding a shuttle van — cruise transfers from Yerranderie

Eleven passengers and their luggage travel in one minibus for $989 — about $90 a seat, against three separate cars at whatever the apps are charging that morning. Everyone leaves at once and arrives at once.

Give us the headcount and a rough bag count when you book. If the group is flying out on two different flights, say so and we will either run two pickups or hold one vehicle — a much easier decision now than at 4am.

Booked car or app

Booked Car or Rideshare on a Sail Day?

The price is known before you leave

A metered or surge-priced trip of 305 km has no ceiling until it ends. Yours was $809 the moment you booked.

A car that is actually rostered

An app at 4am in this district is a hope, not a plan. A pre-booked driver is on the sheet with your address and your flight number.

The luggage is the whole problem

Cruise cases are bigger and there are more of them. A vehicle chosen from your case count beats one that happened to accept the job.

Why pre-book the western run

Why Pre-Book the Yerranderie Cruise Run?

The boot is the point

A cruise generates more luggage than a flight, and the vehicle is chosen from your case count rather than your headcount.

Both terminals, one fare

White Bay at Rozelle and the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay cost the same as each other.

Pickup set to your boarding window

Not to the departure time on the ticket, which is a different and less useful number.

No advance payment

No deposit and no card held. You pay the driver at the terminal, by card, cash or PayID.

The terminal approach is our problem

James Craig Road and the Quay both queue on a sail day. That time is already inside the pickup we quoted.

Child restraints at no cost

Capsules, forward-facing seats and boosters fitted before we arrive.

Questions, answered plainly

Yerranderie Cruise Transfers: Your Questions Answered

What does the run from Yerranderie to the cruise terminal cost?

A fixed $809 one way for one or two passengers, up to $989 for eleven in one vehicle. It is your suburb's published cruise fare — the same whichever terminal you sail from.

What is the difference between White Bay and Circular Quay?

We drive to both at the same fare. Rozelle's White Bay is 305 km from Yerranderie; the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is 307 km. The ticket tells you which, and if it does not, send it to us and we will work it out.

How far is White Bay from Yerranderie?

305 km and roughly 5 hr 30 min to Rozelle; 307 km and about 5 hr 35 min to the Quay. Allow for the terminal approach on top of the drive — we do.

How early do we need to leave?

We use the boarding window on your cruise documents, not the sailing time. Those are different numbers and the second one is no use for planning a pickup.

Do you have room for a fortnight's packing?

Plenty, provided we know in advance. On a sail day the luggage usually outranks the passenger count when we choose the class.

Do I pay before the sailing?

No. Nothing is charged at booking and no card is held. You pay the driver at the terminal on the day, by card, cash or PayID, with a tax invoice emailed afterwards if you want one.

Can you actually collect?

Access here is unsealed and weather-dependent, so a sail-day run is arranged in advance rather than booked blind. Talk to us about the date before you commit — missing a ship is a worse outcome than missing a flight.

Do you do the return leg too?

Yes, and most people book both at once. Disembarkation runs by luggage tag rather than a published time, so the return is worked off a message from you at the terminal doors — the detail is on the cruise terminal to Yerranderie page.

Can eleven of us travel together?

One minibus takes eleven for $989. Groups sailing together usually have more luggage than the seat count implies, which is worth mentioning at booking.

What are the alternatives to a booked car?

Not sensibly. White Bay has no rail station and the bus connections from Yerranderie involve several changes with your cruise luggage. Circular Quay has a station, but getting to it from here with the cases is the trip you were trying to avoid.

Is there a charge for child restraints?

Capsules, forward-facing seats and boosters, all fitted before we arrive and all at no cost. We need the ages when you book.

Do you run the very early sail-day starts?

Every day of the year, with no weekend or holiday loading. Early sail-day starts are ordinary work; pickups before 6am add $20. We will generally not attempt the final access after dark unless the road is known to be in good condition.

Can you take us to the airport as well?

That is most of what we do. Fares, drive times and leave-by tables for Sydney Airport are on the Yerranderie to Sydney Airport page, and Western Sydney International has its own page.

When should I arrange the cruise transfer?

Twenty-four to forty-eight hours is comfortable, but the January and Christmas cruise season fills much earlier — for those, book when you book the cabin.

We are travelling with family from two houses — is that possible?

Yes, provided they are close together. Two or three stops in the same suburb is normal on a cruise booking and does not change the fare; stops in different towns are quoted separately so nobody is surprised.

Is there a cancellation fee?

No fee either way. We move it to the new date and the fare stays the same.

Where exactly does the vehicle stop?

As close as the marshals allow, which at both terminals is the entrance itself.

Which suburbs nearby do you drive to the cruise terminals?

Bindook, Wombeyan Caves, Nattai, Bundanoon and the rest of the district — all 75 suburbs across Wollondilly Shire, Macarthur and the Southern Highlands, each with its own published fare and its own distance to both terminals.
