What is the fare from Hill Top to White Bay?
Between $295 and $435, decided by how many seats you need. Rozelle and Circular Quay cost the same.
Do you go to both cruise terminals?
Both. White Bay is at Rozelle and takes most of the shorter sailings; the Overseas Passenger Terminal is at Circular Quay and takes the larger international ships. Your cruise documents name the one you need — from Hill Top it is 109 km to White Bay and 111 km to the Quay.
How long is the drive from Hill Top to the terminal?
109 km and roughly 1 hr 50 min to Rozelle; 111 km and about 1 hr 54 min to the Quay. Allow for the terminal approach on top of the drive — we do.
How early do we need to leave?
Backwards from your boarding window. Send the documents and we set the exact time; on a morning when two ships turn around together we start earlier.
Do you have room for a fortnight's packing?
That is the question that picks the vehicle. A cruise generates more luggage than a flight, so tell us the case count as well as the headcount and we send something with the boot for it — a sedan for a couple travelling light, a people mover or minibus for anything more.
Is a deposit required?
No. Nothing is charged at booking and no card is held. You pay the driver at the terminal on the day, by card, cash or PayID, with a tax invoice emailed afterwards if you want one.
Can you meet us at disembarkation?
Yes, and most people book both at once. Disembarkation runs by luggage tag rather than a published time, so the return is worked off a message from you at the terminal doors — the detail is on the cruise terminal to Hill Top page.
Do you have a vehicle for a group sailing?
One minibus takes eleven for $435. Groups sailing together usually have more luggage than the seat count implies, which is worth mentioning at booking.
What are the alternatives to a booked car?
Not sensibly. White Bay has no rail station and the bus connections from Hill Top involve several changes with your cruise luggage. Circular Quay has a station, but getting to it from here with the cases is the trip you were trying to avoid.
Is there a charge for child restraints?
Capsules, forward-facing seats and boosters, all fitted before we arrive and all at no cost. We need the ages when you book.
Will you collect at 4am for a morning boarding?
Yes — the early boarding windows are routine here; pickups before 6am add $20. Hill Top has a station and the station has a last train, which is earlier than people expect.
Can you take us to the airport as well?
That is most of what we do. Fares, drive times and leave-by tables for Sydney Airport are on the Hill Top to Sydney Airport page, and Western Sydney International has its own page.
How much notice do you need?
Earlier than you would for a flight. The cruise season concentrates a lot of sailings into a few weeks.
Can you collect from several addresses in one booking?
Yes, provided they are close together. Two or three stops in the same suburb is normal on a cruise booking and does not change the fare; stops in different towns are quoted separately so nobody is surprised.
What if our sailing is cancelled or moved?
One message reschedules it, free. Cruise itineraries move more often than flight times do, which is one reason we take no deposit.
Do you drop at the terminal doors or a car park?
As close as the marshals allow, which at both terminals is the entrance itself.
Which suburbs nearby do you drive to the cruise terminals?
Yerrinbool, Alpine, Balmoral, Colo Vale and the rest of the district — all 75 suburbs across Wollondilly Shire, Macarthur and the Southern Highlands, each with its own published fare and its own distance to both terminals.
