Cruise transfers from Maldon (the industrial river flat below Picton, built around the cement works and the Nepean crossing) to both Sydney terminals, at one agreed fare with the boarding window built into the pickup time.
Wollondilly Airport Shuttle drives Maldon (NSW 2571) to both Sydney cruise terminals — a fixed-fare private transfer, not a shared shuttle. White Bay Cruise Terminal at Rozelle is 79 km from the Maldon Bridge Road turnoff, about 1 hr 1 min; the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is 81 km, about 1 hr 5 min. The fare is $259 one way for one or two passengers, rising to $359 for eleven in one vehicle — the same at either cruise terminal, with Sydney Airport at $219. Boarding runs by deck and luggage tag rather than a published time, so the pickup is set against your boarding window. Nothing is payable in advance. Send the sailing details and we work the pickup back from them. Quote on 0427 143 612.
One fare, either terminal
Each suburb has its own published cruise fare, the same to either terminal — $259 for one or two people.
| Passengers | Vehicle | Fixed fare (one way) | Typical booking |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | Sedan | $259 | one or two travellers |
| 3 | Kia Carnival | $279 | a small family |
| 4 | Kia Carnival | $279 | four with luggage |
| 5 | People Mover | $299 | holiday departures |
| 6 | People Mover | $299 | two families travelling together |
| 7 | Minibus | $339 | extended families |
| 8 | Minibus | $339 | cruise passengers with full cases |
| 9 | Minibus | $359 | guests travelling as one group |
| 10 | Minibus | $359 | group and club travel |
| 11 | Minibus | $359 | the largest single vehicle |
That price is final — tolls, GST, the cases and any child seats — paid to the driver on the day rather than at booking. No advance payment and no card hold — you pay on the day of travel. Fares reviewed August 2026.
One booking, both ends. Most people book the disembarkation pickup at the same time — same operator, nothing to arrange from a ship's wifi.
Sized for the cases
Tell us the case count as well as the headcount — on a cruise run the luggage usually picks the vehicle.

Every class includes the same things. The only thing that changes between cards is how many people and how much luggage fit.
Door to gangway
Allow about 1 hr 1 min for the 79 km from the Maldon Bridge Road turnoff to White Bay at Rozelle, and about 1 hr 5 min for the 81 km to the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay. Cruise departures head north to Campbelltown or onto the Hume at Wilton, then east. Heavy vehicles at shift change are worth avoiding and we time around them.
The motorway section is the predictable part. What varies is the last two kilometres: James Craig Road into White Bay backs up when two ships turn around on the same morning, and the kerb at Circular Quay is short and heavily marshalled. Both allowances are already inside the pickup time we give you.
Coming home again? Disembarkation pickups are on the cruise terminal to Maldon page.
Boarding windows, not departure times
A ship does not leave the moment you arrive, and it will not wait either. The pickup is set from your boarding window plus the drive plus the terminal approach.
Treat them as a starting point. Two ships turning around on the same morning changes the approach considerably, which is what we allow for.
Where we set you down

White Bay is the easier of the two to reach and the harder one to leave. We set you down at the terminal entrance with the luggage out, and the queue up James Craig Road is our problem rather than yours.
Circular Quay is the city terminal and the harder drop of the two. The vehicle goes to the OPT entrance, not to the nearest legal parking spot several minutes away.
We collect from your driveway at an hour set by the sailing, and drive straight through with nobody else in the vehicle.
The two terminals
White Bay at Rozelle is 79 km from Maldon and the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is 81 km. Your cruise documents name the one you need; both cost the same and both are driven to the terminal doors.
about 1 hr 1 min · Victoria Rd and James Craig Rd
Where P&O and most of the shorter sailings go from. The approach up James Craig Road is the slow part on a busy morning, and it is already inside the time we quote. Full detail on the White Bay transfers page.
about 1 hr 5 min · into the city, tightest kerb of the two
The city terminal, right on the harbour, and the tighter of the two kerbs on a sail day. We drop at the entrance rather than several streets short.
$259 to either terminal. Rozelle or Circular Quay, weekday or weekend — the fare was set by your suburb and your group size, not by where the ship happens to be berthed.
Get Free QuoteThe honest comparison
The luggage is what rules most of these out. It is not the distance to the harbour, it is getting a fortnight's packing there without four changes.
| Option | Typical cost (2 adults) | Door to terminal | What it actually involves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer (us) | $259 fixed | ~1 hr 1 min, door to terminal | agreed before you book, luggage carried, and paid only on the day you sail |
| Train and a walk | Opal fares, plus a drive to the station | 2 hrs or more, with the cases | White Bay has no station at all; Circular Quay has one, but reaching it from Maldon means a drive, a change and a walk with cruise luggage |
| Rideshare or taxi | metered, and surge-dependent | ~1 hr 1 min if a car accepts | shift changes at the works put traffic on these roads at hours that surprise people |
| Drive and park | fuel and tolls plus from about $190 a week in budget long-stay parking | ~1 hr 1 min plus finding somewhere to leave it | there is no long-stay parking at either terminal, so it means leaving a car somewhere in the inner west for the length of the cruise |
Neither cruise terminal has long-stay parking of its own, and neither is reachable from Maldon without a car at one end. The honest summary: for a solo traveller with a cabin bag the train to Circular Quay is possible; for two people with a fortnight of luggage it is not.
One vehicle, one fare

Eleven passengers and their luggage travel in one minibus for $359 — about $33 a seat, against three separate cars at whatever the apps are charging that morning. Everyone leaves at once and arrives at once.
Give us the headcount and a rough bag count when you book. If the group is flying out on two different flights, say so and we will either run two pickups or hold one vehicle — a much easier decision now than at 4am.
Booked car or app
A metered or surge-priced trip of 79 km has no ceiling until it ends. Yours was $259 the moment you booked.
An app at 4am in this district is a hope, not a plan. A pre-booked driver is on the sheet with your address and your flight number.
Cruise cases are bigger and there are more of them. A vehicle chosen from your case count beats one that happened to accept the job.
Why pre-book the western run
On a cruise run the bags outrank the passengers when we pick the class, which is why we ask for a case count.
White Bay and the OPT are priced identically to each other.
The ticket time is when the ship leaves. The useful number is when your deck can board.
No deposit, no card on file, and no cancellation fee if the sailing moves.
Both approaches are slow on a sail day and both are already allowed for in your pickup time.
Capsules and boosters at no charge, installed before the vehicle leaves.

Questions, answered plainly
$259 for a couple, rising in fixed steps to $359 for a full eleven-seat minibus. The cruise terminals have their own published fare, with no sail-day loading.
Both. White Bay is at Rozelle and takes most of the shorter sailings; the Overseas Passenger Terminal is at Circular Quay and takes the larger international ships. Your cruise documents name the one you need — from Maldon it is 79 km to White Bay and 81 km to the Quay.
White Bay is 1 hr 1 min away, Circular Quay 1 hr 5 min. Both figures are door to terminal, and both include an allowance for the queue at the far end.
From your boarding window rather than the departure time on the ticket. Cruise lines board by deck and luggage tag across several hours, so the useful number is when your deck can board — we work back from that, plus the drive and the terminal approach.
Cruise bags are bigger and there are more of them, which is why we ask about them at booking rather than discovering the problem in your driveway. The vehicle is sized from the back forwards.
No deposit and no card on file. Payment happens on the day you sail.
Yes, and most people book both at once. Disembarkation runs by luggage tag rather than a published time, so the return is worked off a message from you at the terminal doors — the detail is on the cruise terminal to Maldon page.
Yes — eleven passengers in one minibus for $359, about $33 a seat. On a cruise run the luggage is the limit rather than the seats, so tell us the case count and we will be straight with you about whether it all fits.
Not sensibly. White Bay has no rail station and the bus connections from Maldon involve several changes with your cruise luggage. Circular Quay has a station, but getting to it from here with the cases is the trip you were trying to avoid.
Capsules, forward-facing seats and boosters, all fitted before we arrive and all at no cost. We need the ages when you book.
Any hour, including weekends and public holidays; set fees apply for pickups before 6am or after 8pm. Shift changes at the works put traffic on these roads at hours that surprise people.
Twenty-four to forty-eight hours is comfortable, but the January and Christmas cruise season fills much earlier — for those, book when you book the cabin.
Several doors in the same town is an ordinary arrangement. Tell us the addresses at booking and we plan the order around the boarding window.
One message reschedules it, free. Cruise itineraries move more often than flight times do, which is one reason we take no deposit.
As close as the marshals allow, which at both terminals is the entrance itself.
