What is the fare from Balmoral to White Bay?
Between $295 and $435, decided by how many seats you need. Rozelle and Circular Quay cost the same.
Which terminal will my ship sail from?
Both terminals, same price. White Bay (106 km from here) is the easier approach; the OPT at Circular Quay (108 km) has the tighter kerb but puts you right on the harbour.
How long is the drive from Balmoral to the terminal?
About 1 hr 53 min for the 106 km to White Bay, and 1 hr 57 min for the 108 km to Circular Quay. The motorway part is predictable; the last two kilometres into either terminal are the slow bit on a sail day, and that is already inside the time we quote.
How early do we need to leave?
We use the boarding window on your cruise documents, not the sailing time. Those are different numbers and the second one is no use for planning a pickup.
Do you have room for a fortnight's packing?
Plenty, provided we know in advance. On a sail day the luggage usually outranks the passenger count when we choose the class.
When do I actually pay?
No. Nothing is charged at booking and no card is held. You pay the driver at the terminal on the day, by card, cash or PayID, with a tax invoice emailed afterwards if you want one.
Do you pick us up again when the ship comes back?
Yes, and most people book both at once. Disembarkation runs by luggage tag rather than a published time, so the return is worked off a message from you at the terminal doors — the detail is on the cruise terminal to Balmoral page.
Do you have a vehicle for a group sailing?
Eleven is the maximum in a single vehicle at $435. With a full cruise load we may suggest a second vehicle rather than promise something that will not close.
What are the alternatives to a booked car?
There is no train to White Bay at all, and reaching Circular Quay from Balmoral means a drive to a station, a change or two, and a walk with a fortnight's packing.
Do you fit capsules and boosters?
All three types, free, and installed before the vehicle leaves. Give us the ages at booking.
Will you collect at 4am for a morning boarding?
Yes — the early boarding windows are routine here; pickups before 6am add $20. Fire-country roads at night mean the driver watches for wildlife rather than making up time.
How much notice do you need?
Twenty-four to forty-eight hours is comfortable, but the January and Christmas cruise season fills much earlier — for those, book when you book the cabin.
We are travelling with family from two houses — is that possible?
Within one suburb, yes, and at the same price. Spread across the district we would rather quote it properly than squeeze it.
Can we change the booking after the cruise line changes the date?
One message reschedules it, free. Cruise itineraries move more often than flight times do, which is one reason we take no deposit.
Where exactly does the vehicle stop?
The doors. Both terminals marshal the kerb hard on a sail day, which is exactly why the pickup time allows for it.
Which suburbs nearby do you drive to the cruise terminals?
Yerrinbool, Hill Top, Alpine, Colo Vale and the rest of the district — all 75 suburbs across Wollondilly Shire, Macarthur and the Southern Highlands, each with its own published fare and its own distance to both terminals.
