What is the fare from Tahmoor to White Bay?
Between $275 and $415, decided by how many seats you need. Rozelle and Circular Quay cost the same.
Do you go to both cruise terminals?
Both terminals, same price. White Bay (91 km from here) is the easier approach; the OPT at Circular Quay (93 km) has the tighter kerb but puts you right on the harbour.
How long is the drive from Tahmoor to the terminal?
About 1 hr 15 min for the 91 km to White Bay, and 1 hr 19 min for the 93 km to Circular Quay. The motorway part is predictable; the last two kilometres into either terminal are the slow bit on a sail day, and that is already inside the time we quote.
How early do we need to leave?
Backwards from your boarding window. Send the documents and we set the exact time; on a morning when two ships turn around together we start earlier.
Will our cruise cases fit?
That is the question that picks the vehicle. A cruise generates more luggage than a flight, so tell us the case count as well as the headcount and we send something with the boot for it — a sedan for a couple travelling light, a people mover or minibus for anything more.
When do I actually pay?
Nothing up front. The fare is settled at the terminal, which also means a changed sailing costs you nothing.
Do you do the return leg too?
Yes, and most people book both at once. Disembarkation runs by luggage tag rather than a published time, so the return is worked off a message from you at the terminal doors — the detail is on the cruise terminal to Tahmoor page.
Can eleven of us travel together?
Eleven is the maximum in a single vehicle at $415. With a full cruise load we may suggest a second vehicle rather than promise something that will not close.
Is there a train or bus to the cruise terminal?
There is no train to White Bay at all, and reaching Circular Quay from Tahmoor means a drive to a station, a change or two, and a walk with a fortnight's packing.
Do you fit capsules and boosters?
Capsules, forward-facing seats and boosters, all fitted before we arrive and all at no cost. We need the ages when you book.
Do you run the very early sail-day starts?
Any hour, including weekends and public holidays; set fees apply for pickups before 6am or after 8pm. Shift patterns mean Tahmoor is used to people coming and going at odd hours, but that does not help you at midnight with three cases.
Do you also do airport transfers?
That is most of what we do. Fares, drive times and leave-by tables for Sydney Airport are on the Tahmoor to Sydney Airport page, and Western Sydney International has its own page.
How much notice do you need?
Twenty-four to forty-eight hours is comfortable, but the January and Christmas cruise season fills much earlier — for those, book when you book the cabin.
We are travelling with family from two houses — is that possible?
Within one suburb, yes, and at the same price. Spread across the district we would rather quote it properly than squeeze it.
What if our sailing is cancelled or moved?
Tell us and the booking moves at no cost. Nothing is charged in advance, so there is no cancellation fee and nothing to refund.
Do you drop at the terminal doors or a car park?
The doors. Both terminals marshal the kerb hard on a sail day, which is exactly why the pickup time allows for it.
Which suburbs nearby do you drive to the cruise terminals?
Thirlmere, Pheasants Nest, Couridjah, Picton and the rest of the district — all 75 suburbs across Wollondilly Shire, Macarthur and the Southern Highlands, each with its own published fare and its own distance to both terminals.
