The last hour of the trip, sorted before the first. Sydney Airport to Alpine (a small rural pocket in the hills above Mittagong, quiet and largely unsigned) as a private transfer: one agreed fare, free waiting after touchdown, and a driver holding your name.
Wollondilly Airport Shuttle meets arriving passengers at Sydney Airport and drives them home to Alpine (NSW 2575) — a fixed-fare private transfer, not a shared shuttle. The driver waits in the P7 Rideshare Pickup Area at T1, or in the priority pickup area at T2 and T3, and the fare is $255 one way for one or two passengers, rising to $405 for eleven in one vehicle. It is 98 km from the terminal to the Alpine turnoff on the old highway, about 1 hr 25 min. The flight number is tracked from wheels-down, so a late arrival simply shifts the Alpine pickup: an hour of free waiting at T1, forty minutes at T2 and T3, and no charge either way. Nothing is payable in advance. Arrange it when you book the flight and there is nothing left to organise on landing. Quote on 0427 143 612.
Priced before you fly
Airport pickups add a set $10 fee. One or two passengers pay $255, and the fare climbs only with the number of seats.

Delayed flights, holidays and long waits at the belt do not move the price. Nothing is added after the fact. There is no deposit on a Alpine arrival — payment happens on the day of travel. Fares reviewed August 2026.
The return leg is the one worth booking. Getting out of Alpine is usually manageable. Getting home at midnight with luggage is the part that catches people out.
The vehicle at the terminal
Passengers and luggage decide the class at the time of booking, so the right vehicle is already on its way when you land.

No class is a better service than another. All four include the tolls, the GST, the child seats and the flight tracking, and none of them asks for money before the day. Pick on headcount and bags alone.
How long it takes
Allow about 1 hr 25 min for the 98 km from the terminal to the Alpine turnoff on the old highway. Down the Hume with a single exit at Mittagong, then up into the hills. It is nearly all motorway and the last leg is short, which makes this one of the more predictable Highlands arrivals.
You are travelling against the grain of Sydney's peak, which helps. Once past the airport tunnel the westbound run opens up, and by evening it is the fastest it gets all day.
If you are flying out rather than in, the leave-by times and departure fares are on the Alpine to Sydney Airport page.
Late, early or cancelled
The single reason arrival transfers go wrong is a booking made against a scheduled time. Ours is made against a flight number, and this is how that plays out when things move.
T1 arrivals carry sixty minutes of included waiting from touchdown, and the driver leaves for the airport based on where the aircraft actually is.
At T2 and T3 you have forty minutes from wheels-down before waiting is even discussed, which comfortably covers a domestic bag belt.
A diversion or a cancellation is a phone call, not a problem. We reschedule, and because there is no advance payment there is nothing to claw back.
The flight number is the only detail that really matters on an arrival booking — everything else follows from it.
Where we wait for you

You clear customs, walk through the barrier, and there is your name. The driver takes the trolley from there and walks you out to the car.
For T2 and T3 the driver waits in the priority pickup area. Send a text once you have your bag and the car is at the kerb as you reach the door.
From there it is straight to your address — no interchange, no shared loop, and no other passengers to drop first. Property names on gates rather than numbers on posts. Give us both and the driver will confirm before turning in.
Landing at the new airport
Once Western Sydney International is the closer terminal for much of this district, and we meet flights there with the same service at its own published fare.

The return is the reverse, finishing on hill roads where the property name on the gate is the only reliable marker. WSI is genuinely closer than Kingsford Smith even from this far south. Route detail on the Alpine to WSI page.

| Option | Typical cost (2 adults) | Door to terminal | What it actually involves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer (us) | $255 fixed | ~1 hr 25 min, door to door | someone holding your name when you walk out, your bags handled, and a fare settled before you flew |
| Train from the airport | Opal fares plus $18.61 station access fee each | 2 hrs or more, if it is running | rail gets you as far as Mittagong or Hill Top at best, with an $18.61 access fee each and somebody still needing to collect you from the platform at the other end |
| Rideshare or taxi | metered, and surge-dependent | ~1 hr 25 min if a car accepts | Alpine is a handful of properties rather than a village, and nothing serves it |
| Drive and park | fuel and tolls plus from about $190 a week in budget long-stay parking | ~1 hr 25 min plus the car park shuttle | only works if you drove yourself out and left the car there — and it means finding the car park shuttle after a long flight before you can start driving |
The station access fee is Transport for NSW's published charge for entering or leaving an airport rail station — check the current figure before you rely on it. The honest summary for an arrival into Alpine: rail can work in daylight with hand luggage, and stops working entirely once the flight is late, the bags are checked, or the last service has gone.
Groups off one flight

Eleven arriving passengers are met by one vehicle for $405 — about $37 a seat, against three separate taxis from the rank at whatever the meter says. Extended families, sports teams and friends landing together all book this way.
Flight number, passengers, bags. If the party is arriving on two different aircraft, that is not a problem, but tell us which you want for the Alpine run: one vehicle waiting for the second flight, or two separate pickups.
Booked car or taxi queue
Ranks empty out mid-afternoon and clog when the widebodies land together, which is usually when you are standing in it.
Traffic, roadworks and the hour all move a metered fare of this length. None of them move ours.
Drivers at the front of a rank are not obliged to love a run this far out at 1am. A booked vehicle has already agreed to it.
Why it is worth booking
The return leg is arranged with the outbound one, so nothing is left to organise from an airport with a flat phone.
You walk out and the driver is there holding your name. That is the whole service, and it is the part people remember.
An hour of free time at T1 and forty minutes at domestic, counted from wheels-down.
Nothing is charged when you book and no card is held. You pay the driver at your door on the day of travel, by card, cash or PayID, with a tax invoice emailed if you want one.
Fitted before we leave for the airport, which is why we ask for ages at booking rather than on the day.
Christmas Day is priced exactly like a Tuesday; a pickup after 10pm adds a set $20.

Arrival FAQ
$255 for one or two people, rising in steps to $405 for a full eleven-seat vehicle. The number is the departure fare plus the $10 pickup fee; Boxing Day does not change it, though a pickup after 10pm adds $20.
At T1 the driver waits inside the Rideshare Pickup Area inside the P7 building, holding your name, and carries the cases out to the vehicle. At T2 and T3 we use the priority pickup area — send a text when you have your bag and the car is at the kerb as you walk out.
About 1 hr 25 min for the 98 km. Westbound is usually the easier direction: the M5 East clears through the evening, so an arrival run often takes less time than the same trip at 4am in the other direction.
The delay is ours to absorb. Because the job is scheduled off the flight number, a three-hour slip just moves the departure from our end, and the included waiting time is counted from the moment you land rather than from the timetable.
Message or call and we move the booking at no cost. Because nothing is charged in advance, there is no cancellation fee and nothing to refund.
No. There is no deposit and no card held. You pay the driver at your door on the day of travel by card, cash or PayID, and we email a tax invoice afterwards if you want one.
Yes — there is no interchange and no shared leg. Property names on gates rather than numbers on posts. Give us both and the driver will confirm before turning in.
No. The furthest rail takes you is Mittagong or Hill Top, you pay $18.61 each just to leave the airport station, and the last leg still needs a car — normally somebody else's evening.
The gap widens exactly when it matters. Queues build around the big arrival banks, and a metered trip of 98 km has no knowable price until it ends. A pre-booked vehicle is unaffected by either.
Yes. It takes passengers and our arrival service starts with it, at its own published fare.
Eleven is the maximum in one vehicle, and it is $405 for the lot — roughly $37 each. Split across two aircraft, we can wait for the second or send two vehicles, whichever you prefer.
All three types, included in the fare. The only thing we need is the children's ages at the time of booking so the right seats are already in the vehicle that meets you for the drive to Alpine.
Any hour, every night, holidays included. Alpine is a handful of properties rather than a village, and nothing serves it.
Two days is a comfortable margin, more in January and over the school breaks. Most bookings come in as a pair — out and back — which is the tidiest way to handle it.
Text the driver and you will get a straight answer. A fast exit usually means a short wait, and if it is longer than that we say so.
