The trip home from Sydney Airport to Aylmerton — the village at the start of the Wombeyan Caves road, on the ridge north-west of Mittagong — done as a private transfer: your name at the meeting point, your luggage in the boot, and one agreed fare with no meter running.
Wollondilly Airport Shuttle meets arriving passengers at Sydney Airport and drives them home to Aylmerton (NSW 2575) — a fixed-fare private transfer, not a shared shuttle. The driver waits in the P7 Rideshare Pickup Area at T1, or in the priority pickup area at T2 and T3, and the fare is $255 one way for one or two passengers, rising to $405 for eleven in one vehicle. It is 99 km from the terminal to the Aylmerton Road corner, about 1 hr 24 min. Your flight number does the work: the pickup moves with the aircraft, and the Aylmerton fare covers an hour of waiting at T1 or forty minutes at T2 and T3 from the moment the wheels touch. Nothing is payable in advance. Send the flight number now and the rest of it looks after itself. Quote on 0427 143 612.
Fixed price, each direction
The homeward leg is the outbound fare plus a $10 pickup fee: $255 for a couple, with fixed steps up as the group grows.
| Passengers | Vehicle | Fixed fare (one way) | Typical booking |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | Sedan | $255 | couples and solo travellers landing together |
| 3 | Kia Carnival | $285 | a family of three with checked bags |
| 4 | Kia Carnival | $285 | four adults and their luggage |
| 5 | People Mover | $315 | families home from a holiday |
| 6 | People Mover | $315 | two households on the same flight |
| 7 | Minibus | $355 | extended family arrivals |
| 8 | Minibus | $355 | cruise passengers off the ship |
| 9 | Minibus | $405 | wedding guests flying in |
| 10 | Minibus | $405 | teams and work groups |
| 11 | Minibus | $405 | the maximum in a single vehicle |
Delayed flights, holidays and long waits at the belt do not move the price. Nothing is added after the fact. There is no deposit on a Aylmerton arrival — payment happens on the day of travel. Fares reviewed August 2026.
Arrivals are where transfers earn their keep. Getting to the airport is a solvable problem. Getting out of it at midnight with three cases is the part worth paying to remove.

No class is a better service than another. All four include the tolls, the GST, the child seats and the flight tracking, and none of them asks for money before the day. Pick on headcount and bags alone.
Terminal to door
Allow about 1 hr 24 min for the 99 km from the terminal to the Aylmerton Road corner. Hume to Mittagong then up the ridge toward the caves road. A short last leg on a good road, and after the city traffic has gone it is one of the quicker Highlands runs home.
Heading out of the city is the kinder leg. The heavy traffic on the M5 East runs the other way in the morning peak, so an evening arrival usually clears the tunnel and keeps moving.
If you are flying out rather than in, the leave-by times and departure fares are on the Aylmerton to Sydney Airport page.
When the flight moves
Almost nothing about an arrival runs to the printed schedule, which is why the pickup is tied to your flight number instead of an agreed hour. The three situations below cover most of it.
T1 arrivals carry sixty minutes of included waiting from touchdown, and the driver leaves for the airport based on where the aircraft actually is.
Forty minutes from touchdown at T2 and T3, measured from the actual landing rather than the timetable. Domestic bags come off faster and the allowance reflects that.
Diverted, cancelled or rebooked onto tomorrow? Call or message and we move the booking with no cancellation charge — there is nothing paid in advance to lose.
The flight number is what matters on an arrival booking. With it, we are already watching before you have boarded.
Finding your driver

T1 is a terminal pickup: the driver is inside arrivals with your name, and walks you and the luggage out to the vehicle.
For T2 and T3 the driver waits in the priority pickup area. Send a text once you have your bag and the car is at the kerb as you reach the door.
From the kerb it is a single run to your address, with no other pickups and no detours built into it. Ridge properties set back from the road, unlit, with similar-looking entrances. Name and number together, please.
The second airport
Our arrival service starts the same day, at its own published fare.
about 56 min · toll-free on our route
Back down The Northern Road and up the ridge. A small enough place that we usually already know the driveway from earlier trips, which saves the first-booking guesswork. Route detail on the Aylmerton to WSI page.
about 1 hr 24 min · Hume, M5 and tunnel
The overwhelming majority of arrivals we meet are here — inside the hall at T1, at the priority zone for T2 and T3.
$255 from Sydney Airport; Western Sydney has its own published fare. Terminal and length of delay make no difference to the number, and nothing is added for a rail access fee because no train is involved.

| Option | Typical cost (2 adults) | Door to terminal | What it actually involves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer (us) | $255 fixed | ~1 hr 24 min, door to door | a driver already at the terminal, help with the luggage, and a fixed published fare |
| Train from the airport | Opal fares plus $18.61 station access fee each | 2 hrs or more, if it is running | rail gets you as far as Mittagong or Hill Top at best, with an $18.61 access fee each and somebody still needing to collect you from the platform at the other end |
| Rideshare or taxi | metered, and surge-dependent | ~1 hr 24 min if a car accepts | a small enough place that we usually already know the driveway from previous trips |
| Drive and park | fuel and tolls plus from about $190 a week in budget long-stay parking | ~1 hr 24 min plus the car park shuttle | only works if you drove yourself out and left the car there — and it means finding the car park shuttle after a long flight before you can start driving |
The station access fee is Transport for NSW's published charge for entering or leaving an airport rail station — check the current figure before you rely on it. The honest summary for an arrival into Aylmerton: rail can work in daylight with hand luggage, and stops working entirely once the flight is late, the bags are checked, or the last service has gone.
Arriving together

Eleven arriving passengers are met by one vehicle for $405 — about $37 a seat, against three separate taxis from the rank at whatever the meter says. It suits anything that arrives together: a tour group, a team, or three generations of one family.
Send the flight number, the headcount and the bag count when you book. If the group is split across two flights we can meet the later one and hold the vehicle, or run two pickups to Aylmerton — tell us which you would prefer rather than deciding it in the arrivals hall.
Compared with the rank
Taxi queues at Sydney Airport build exactly when the big arrivals land together. A booked driver is already waiting and does not join a queue.
Metered and surge pricing on a run this long is decided by the traffic and the hour. Yours was agreed before you left home.
A long run out of the city late at night is one plenty of drivers decline. Booked in advance, that is not a conversation you have to have.
Reasons to book ahead
The return leg is arranged with the outbound one, so nothing is left to organise from an airport with a flat phone.
You walk out and the driver is there holding your name. That is the whole service, and it is the part people remember.
An hour of free time at T1 and forty minutes at domestic, counted from wheels-down.
No deposit, no pre-authorisation, no card details sitting on file. The fare is settled with the driver when you get home — card, cash or PayID — and an invoice follows by email if you need it.
Fitted before we leave for the airport, which is why we ask for ages at booking rather than on the day.
Christmas Day is priced exactly like a Tuesday; a pickup after 10pm adds a set $20.

Questions about arrivals
Between $255 and $405, decided by how many seats you need rather than by the traffic; set fees apply for pickups before 6am or after 8pm. It is the outbound fare plus the $10 airport pickup fee, and any time-of-day fee.
Walk out of customs at T1 and the driver taking you to Aylmerton is waiting in the Rideshare Pickup Area inside P7. At T2 and T3 there is no hall to wait in, so you message once you have your bag and the car pulls into the priority area for the run out to Aylmerton.
Roughly 1 hr 24 min to cover 99 km. Evening arrivals usually run clean once past the airport tunnel, since the heavy traffic on the M5 East is heading the opposite way.
It costs you nothing. The booking is tied to the flight number, not a time you nominated, so the driver simply leaves later. Sixty minutes of free waiting applies at T1 and forty at the domestic terminals, timed from the real landing rather than the schedule you booked against.
Tell us the new flight number and the job moves with it. Nothing was taken at booking, so a cancellation costs you exactly nothing.
No, and no pre-authorisation either. Payment happens at the end of the trip, at your door, in whichever of card, cash or PayID suits you at your Aylmerton address.
Yes. One vehicle, your party only, from the terminal to the address. Ridge properties set back from the road, unlit, with similar-looking entrances. Name and number together, please.
Not all the way. Rail reaches Mittagong or Hill Top at best, with an $18.61 airport station access fee per adult, and somebody still has to collect you from the platform — which is usually the trip you were trying to avoid.
Usually, and the difference is worst on the bad nights. When several long-haul flights land together the rank slows right down, and a 99 km fare out of the city is one plenty of drivers would rather not take. A booked car is already waiting and already priced.
Yes — at that airport's own published fare. The fare there is $225 for one or two, with the same included waiting and the same drive to your address.
One minibus takes eleven and their bags for $405 — about $37 per seat against three taxis at whatever the meters say. Two flights, two options: hold, or run separately.
Yes, at no cost. Capsules, forward-facing seats and boosters are fitted before the vehicle leaves for the terminal, so we need the children's ages when you book rather than when you land.

A day or two is plenty outside the busy weeks; over Christmas and school holidays give us more for a Aylmerton run. The easiest approach is to book both legs together when you arrange the departure.
Send a text. Often the car is already on site and it is a couple of minutes; if not, you get a real number of minutes rather than a vague reassurance about the Aylmerton run.
