The trip home from Sydney Airport to Hill Top — a plateau village on the Southern Highlands line, with bushland on three sides — done as a private transfer: your name at the meeting point, your luggage in the boot, and one agreed fare with no meter running.
Wollondilly Airport Shuttle meets arriving passengers at Sydney Airport and drives them home to Hill Top (NSW 2575) — a fixed-fare private transfer, not a shared shuttle. The driver waits in the P7 Rideshare Pickup Area at T1, or in the priority pickup area at T2 and T3, and the fare is $255 one way for one or two passengers, rising to $405 for eleven in one vehicle. It is 99 km from the terminal to the Hill Top shops near the station, about 1 hr 29 min. We track the flight number, so a delay moves the pickup at no charge — a full hour of free waiting at T1 and forty minutes at T2 and T3. Nothing is payable in advance. Book before you fly and the car is on the sheet before you board. Quote on 0427 143 612.
Fixed price, each direction
Airport pickups add a set $10 fee. One or two passengers pay $255, and the fare climbs only with the number of seats.
| Passengers | Vehicle | Fixed fare (one way) | Typical booking |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | Sedan | $255 | couples and solo travellers landing together |
| 3 | Kia Carnival | $285 | a family of three with checked bags |
| 4 | Kia Carnival | $285 | four adults and their luggage |
| 5 | People Mover | $315 | families home from a holiday |
| 6 | People Mover | $315 | two households on the same flight |
| 7 | Minibus | $355 | extended family arrivals |
| 8 | Minibus | $355 | cruise passengers off the ship |
| 9 | Minibus | $405 | wedding guests flying in |
| 10 | Minibus | $405 | teams and work groups |
| 11 | Minibus | $405 | the maximum in a single vehicle |
The fare is set when you book and does not move for the date or the length of the queue at immigration. Nothing is charged at booking and no card is held; the fare is paid on the day. Fares reviewed August 2026.
The return leg is the one worth booking. Getting out of Hill Top is usually manageable. Getting home at midnight with luggage is the part that catches people out.

The difference is space, not service. Every vehicle on this page comes with tolls and GST in the fare, restraints fitted at no cost, flight-number tracking and payment on the day you travel to Hill Top.
Terminal to door
Allow about 1 hr 29 min for the 99 km from the terminal to the Hill Top shops near the station. Off the Hume and up onto the plateau. The climb is short but the road narrows and the bush comes close on both sides, so the final stretch is taken at a pace that suits the visibility.
Coming out of the airport you are pointed away from the congestion rather than into it. That is why the same distance that takes an hour and a bit at dawn often does not on the way home.
If you are flying out rather than in, the leave-by times and departure fares are on the Hill Top to Sydney Airport page.
When the flight moves
Nobody plans for the flight to slip three hours, so we plan for it instead: the pickup tracks the aircraft, not the timetable. What follows is what happens in each case.
The booking follows the aircraft. However late it lands, an hour from wheels-down at T1 is free, and the driver is there when you emerge.
At T2 and T3 you have forty minutes from wheels-down before waiting is even discussed, which comfortably covers a domestic bag belt.
Diverted, cancelled or rebooked onto tomorrow? Call or message and we move the booking with no cancellation charge — there is nothing paid in advance to lose.
Give us the flight number rather than a landing time when you book — that is the single thing that makes the arrival look after itself.
Finding your driver

You clear customs, walk through the barrier, and there is your name. The driver takes the trolley from there and walks you out to the car.
T2 and T3 work the other way round: you text from the baggage hall, and the vehicle is in the priority pickup area by the time you reach the doors.
Everything after that is one drive to your door — your party alone in the vehicle, and nowhere else to be. Plateau blocks with bush frontage, mostly unlit. Tell us if the driveway is gravel — it changes which vehicle we would prefer to send in the wet.
The second airport
Our arrival service starts the same day, at its own published fare.
about 1 hr 1 min · toll-free on our route
The return climbs back onto the plateau on a road that narrows with bush close on both sides. The station's last train is early enough that a WSI evening landing has no alternative. Route detail on the Hill Top to WSI page.
about 1 hr 29 min · Hume, M5 and tunnel
Where the long-haul arrivals land today, and where most of our arrival work still happens — T1 meet and greet, T2 and T3 kerbside.
$255 from Sydney Airport, $225 from Western Sydney. Which terminal and how late the aircraft was make no difference; the pickup adds a set $10, plus $10–$20 after 8pm.

Worth reading before you fly rather than after you land, because the options look very different at 11pm.
| Option | Typical cost (2 adults) | Door to terminal | What it actually involves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer (us) | $255 fixed | ~1 hr 29 min, door to door | a named driver waiting past customs, the cases carried, one agreed price, no stops on the way |
| Train from the airport | Opal fares plus $18.61 station access fee each | 2 hrs or more, if it is running | the airport line to Central, a change, then the Southern Highlands service to Hill Top — plus the $18.61 station access fee each, and only if you land early enough to catch it |
| Rideshare or taxi | metered, and surge-dependent | ~1 hr 29 min if a car accepts | hill Top has a station and the station has a last train, which is earlier than people expect |
| Drive and park | fuel and tolls plus from about $190 a week in budget long-stay parking | ~1 hr 29 min plus the car park shuttle | only works if you drove yourself out and left the car there — and it means finding the car park shuttle after a long flight before you can start driving |
The station access fee is Transport for NSW's published charge for entering or leaving an airport rail station — check the current figure before you rely on it. The honest summary for an arrival into Hill Top: rail can work in daylight with hand luggage, and stops working entirely once the flight is late, the bags are checked, or the last service has gone.
Arriving together

Eleven arriving passengers are met by one vehicle for $405 — about $37 a seat, against three separate taxis from the rank at whatever the meter says. It suits anything that arrives together: a tour group, a team, or three generations of one family.
Send the flight number, the headcount and the bag count when you book. If the group is split across two flights we can meet the later one and hold the vehicle, or run two pickups to Hill Top — tell us which you would prefer rather than deciding it in the arrivals hall.
Compared with the rank
Ranks are fine at 2pm on a Tuesday. They are not fine at 11pm when four international flights have landed inside forty minutes.
Metered pricing on a run this long depends on conditions you cannot see from the queue. A fixed fare removes the question.
A long one-way run with no return fare is not every driver's preference. Ours is dispatched knowing exactly where it goes.
Reasons to book ahead
One message before you leave home covers the whole return leg, which is the part travellers most often leave to chance.
The difference between a good arrival and a bad one is whether a person is standing there when the doors open.
Free waiting is measured from touchdown, so a slow bag belt or a long immigration queue costs nothing.
There is nothing to pay in advance and no card taken. You settle with the driver at the door on the day — card, cash or PayID — and a tax invoice is emailed if asked for.
Ages at booking mean capsules and boosters are in the vehicle before it heads for the terminal, at no charge.
Public holidays are charged at the ordinary fare; set fees apply for pickups before 6am or after 8pm.

Questions about arrivals
A fixed $255 one way for one or two passengers, up to $405 for eleven in one vehicle. It is the outbound fare plus the $10 airport pickup fee — set fees apply for pickups before 6am or after 8pm, and there is no public-holiday surcharge.
International arrivals are a terminal pickup: your name on a card inside the T1 hall, just past the customs doors, and help with the luggage from there. Domestic is a text from the baggage belt and the vehicle in the priority pickup zone as you reach the door.
99 km, normally about 1 hr 29 min. You are driving away from Sydney's peak rather than into it, which is why the homeward leg tends to beat the outbound one on the same road.
No charge and no action needed from you. We watch the flight, the pickup shifts with it, and the free waiting allowance — an hour at T1, forty minutes at T2 and T3 — only starts once the wheels are actually down.
One message rebooks it. Since no money has changed hands and no card is held, there is nothing to refund and no fee to argue about.
Nothing is payable in advance and no card is stored. The fare is settled with the driver when you get home — card, cash or PayID — with an emailed invoice on request.
Yes, that is the whole point of it. Plateau blocks with bush frontage, mostly unlit. Tell us if the driveway is gravel — it changes which vehicle we would prefer to send in the wet.
In daylight, with hand luggage, yes: the airport line to Central, a change, then the Southern Highlands service. Add the $18.61 airport station access fee each, two hours or more, and the fact that the last service leaves well before the last international arrival.
Two things: certainty of price on a 99 km run, and certainty that a car exists at all. Both disappear at the rank on a busy night, which is generally the night you are landing.
Yes. Nothing about the booking changes: $255, free waiting from touchdown, and no advance payment.
Yes — eleven arriving passengers and their luggage in one minibus for $405, about $37 a seat. If the group is split across two flights, tell us and we will either hold the vehicle or run two pickups.
Yes and no charge. Capsules, forward-facing seats and boosters are fitted before departure for the airport, which is why the ages matter at booking rather than on the day.
Yes — pickups from 8pm to 10pm add $10, and after 10pm $20. Hill Top has a station and the station has a last train, which is earlier than people expect.
Anything from twenty-four hours ahead is usually fine, though peak holiday periods fill earlier. Booking the arrival alongside the departure saves thinking about it twice.
Just message. The driver will either be nearby already or will tell you precisely how long — we would rather give you an honest fifteen minutes than an optimistic five.
