Robertson transfers at a glance

Wollondilly Airport Shuttle meets arriving passengers at Sydney Airport and drives them home to Robertson (NSW 2577) — a fixed-fare private transfer, not a shared shuttle. The driver waits in the P7 Rideshare Pickup Area at T1, or in the priority pickup area at T2 and T3, and the fare is $309 one way for one or two passengers, rising to $445 for eleven in one vehicle. It is 133 km from the terminal to the Robertson shops on the Illawarra Highway, about 2 hr 3 min. The flight number is tracked from wheels-down, so a late arrival simply shifts the Robertson pickup: an hour of free waiting at T1, forty minutes at T2 and T3, and no charge either way. Nothing is payable in advance. Book before you fly and the car is on the sheet before you board. Quote on 0427 143 612.

How long it takes

How Long Does It Take to Get from Sydney Airport to Robertson?

Allow about 2 hr 3 min for the 133 km from the terminal to the Robertson shops on the Illawarra Highway. Off the Hume at Sutton Forest, through Moss Vale and east on the Illawarra Highway. The rainforest section is wet more often than not and it is slower at night than any other stretch we drive.

Westbound is the easier direction. The M5 East thins out through the evening, and by about seven the run out of the city is clear — which is why an arrival drive often takes less time than the same trip in the morning.

If you are flying out rather than in, the leave-by times and departure fares are on the Robertson to Sydney Airport page.

Late, early or cancelled

Late, Diverted or Cancelled: How the Booking Copes

The single reason arrival transfers go wrong is a booking made against a scheduled time. Ours is made against a flight number, and this is how that plays out when things move.

International arrivals

Late is normal on long-haul, so the sheet updates itself from the flight number and the first hour after touchdown at T1 is on us.

Domestic arrivals

Forty minutes from touchdown at T2 and T3, measured from the actual landing rather than the timetable. Domestic bags come off faster and the allowance reflects that.

Diverted or cancelled

Diverted, cancelled or rebooked onto tomorrow? Call or message and we move the booking with no cancellation charge — there is nothing paid in advance to lose.

The flight number is the only detail that really matters on an arrival booking — everything else follows from it.

Where we wait for you

Where Do We Meet You Before the Drive to Robertson?

Van picking up family at — Sydney Airport transfers to Robertson
T1 International

At T1 the driver is inside, past the customs doors, with a card showing your name — the terminal is the meeting point, not a car park level.

T2 / T3 Domestic

T2 and T3 work the other way round: you text from the baggage hall, and the vehicle is in the priority pickup area by the time you reach the doors.

Straight to your door

Everything after that is one drive to your door — your party alone in the vehicle, and nowhere else to be. Properties along the highway and the side roads, most set back and unlit. In heavy rain the driver will confirm by phone rather than guess at a gate.

Meeting a Group Off One Flight to Robertson

Passengers saying goodbye at dri — Sydney Airport transfers to Robertson

Eleven arriving passengers are met by one vehicle for $445 — about $40 a seat, against three separate taxis from the rank at whatever the meter says. Extended families, sports teams and friends landing together all book this way.

Send the flight number, the headcount and the bag count when you book. If the group is split across two flights we can meet the later one and hold the vehicle, or run two pickups to Robertson — tell us which you would prefer rather than deciding it in the arrivals hall.

Booked car or taxi queue

The Taxi Rank, Honestly: What It Costs You to Robertson

Queues form on the worst nights

When three long-haul flights land together the rank moves slowly. A pre-booked car is unaffected by that entirely.

133 km on a meter is a guess

Nobody can tell you what a metered trip of this length will cost until it ends. Our figure was fixed at booking.

Refusals happen on long runs

A fare this far out of the city is one some drivers would rather not take at midnight. Yours is already assigned.

Why it is worth booking

Why Travellers to Robertson Book the Return Leg First

Sorted while you are still packing

One message before you leave home covers the whole return leg, which is the part travellers most often leave to chance.

Someone is actually waiting

The difference between a good arrival and a bad one is whether a person is standing there when the doors open.

The clock starts when you land

Free waiting is measured from touchdown, so a slow bag belt or a long immigration queue costs nothing.

No advance payment

No deposit, no pre-authorisation, no card details sitting on file. The fare is settled with the driver when you get home — card, cash or PayID — and an invoice follows by email if you need it.

Restraints already installed

Ages at booking mean capsules and boosters are in the vehicle before it heads for the terminal, at no charge.

No awkward hours

Public holidays are charged at the ordinary fare; set fees apply for pickups before 6am or after 8pm.

Arrival FAQ

Sydney Airport to Robertson: Your Questions Answered

What is the fare from the terminal to Robertson?

A fixed $309 one way for one or two passengers, up to $445 for eleven in one vehicle. It is the outbound fare plus the $10 airport pickup fee — set fees apply for pickups before 6am or after 8pm, and there is no public-holiday surcharge.

How do I find the driver at the terminal?

International arrivals are a terminal pickup: your name on a card inside the T1 hall, just past the customs doors, and help with the luggage from there. Domestic is a text from the baggage belt and the vehicle in the priority pickup zone as you reach the door.

How far is Robertson from Sydney Airport?

133 km, normally about 2 hr 3 min. You are driving away from Sydney's peak rather than into it, which is why the homeward leg tends to beat the outbound one on the same road.

Do I pay more if the flight is delayed?

No charge and no action needed from you. We watch the flight, the pickup shifts with it, and the free waiting allowance — an hour at T1, forty minutes at T2 and T3 — only starts once the wheels are actually down.

What if my flight is cancelled or diverted?

One message rebooks it. Since no money has changed hands and no card is held, there is nothing to refund and no fee to argue about.

Do you take card details at booking?

Nothing is payable in advance and no card is stored. The fare is settled with the driver when you get home — card, cash or PayID — with an emailed invoice on request.

Will the vehicle come all the way to my house?

Yes, that is the whole point of it. Properties along the highway and the side roads, most set back and unlit. In heavy rain the driver will confirm by phone rather than guess at a gate.

Is there a train from the airport?

Only partway. Burradoo or Bowral is the practical limit, the airport station access fee is $18.61 a head on top of the Opal fare, and the remaining distance is a pickup you would have to arrange anyway.

Is it worth pre-booking rather than using the rank?

Two things: certainty of price on a 133 km run, and certainty that a car exists at all. Both disappear at the rank on a busy night, which is generally the night you are landing.

Will you meet me at Western Sydney Airport too?

Yes. Nothing about the booking changes: $309, free waiting from touchdown, and no advance payment.

Do you have a vehicle big enough for eleven arriving passengers?

Yes — eleven arriving passengers and their luggage in one minibus for $445, about $40 a seat. If the group is split across two flights, tell us and we will either hold the vehicle or run two pickups.

Do you carry child restraints for arriving families?

Yes and no charge. Capsules, forward-facing seats and boosters are fitted before departure for the airport, which is why the ages matter at booking rather than on the day.

Will you meet a flight landing after midnight?

Yes — pickups from 8pm to 10pm add $10, and after 10pm $20. Robertson has its own weather and it does not care what time your flight landed.

When should I book the trip home?

Anything from twenty-four hours ahead is usually fine, though peak holiday periods fill earlier. Booking the arrival alongside the departure saves thinking about it twice.

What if I come out earlier than expected?

Just message. The driver will either be nearby already or will tell you precisely how long — we would rather give you an honest fifteen minutes than an optimistic five.

Which other localities nearby do you cover?

Fitzroy Falls, Bundanoon, Burrawang, Exeter, plus the whole of the surrounding district. All 75 localities have their own arrivals page and their own fixed fare.
