Wollondilly Airport Shuttle meets disembarking cruise passengers at both Sydney terminals and drives them home to Bargo (NSW 2574) — a fixed-fare private transfer, not a shared shuttle. White Bay Cruise Terminal at Rozelle is 90 km from the Bargo shops on Great Southern Road, about 1 hr 10 min; the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is 92 km, about 1 hr 15 min. The fare is $275 one way for one or two passengers, rising to $375 for eleven in one vehicle, and it matches the sail-day fare exactly. Disembarkation is released by luggage tag rather than a published time, so there is no booked minute to miss: you message from the terminal doors and the driver comes in, with no meter running while you queue. Nothing is payable in advance. One booking covers both ends of the cruise. Quote on 0427 143 612.

The drive home

How Long Is the Drive from the Terminal Home to Bargo?

Allow about 1 hr 10 min for the 90 km from White Bay at Rozelle to the Bargo shops on Great Southern Road, and about 1 hr 15 min for the 92 km from the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay. Back down the Hume from the M5, then into the village. Cruise arrivals cluster in the morning, so the westbound run is usually clear by the time we set off from the wharf.

Getting out of the terminal precinct is the slow part on disembarkation morning, not the motorway. Once past the Anzac Bridge the run usually clears, and the whole of that allowance is inside the fare rather than on a meter.

Sailing out rather than home? Boarding-window timing and the sail-day fare are on the Bargo cruise transfers page.

How the morning actually runs

What Happens If the Ship Berths Late?

A ship does not release everyone at once, so a cruise pickup cannot be booked to a minute. It is arranged around your message from the terminal doors instead. Here is how each part of the morning works.

International arrivals

Cruise lines call passengers down by tag colour across a couple of hours. That is why we work off a text rather than a booked minute.

Domestic arrivals

Delayed docking is normal and it is not charged for. We plan the morning around it rather than around the timetable.

Diverted or cancelled

If the cruise is cancelled or rerouted, tell us and the job moves free of charge.

Book against the sailing, then text on the morning. Trying to book a minute is what goes wrong with cruise pickups.

Where we meet you

Where Do I Meet the Driver at the Terminal?

Van picking up family at — cruise terminal transfers to Bargo
White Bay, Rozelle

White Bay has limited kerb space, so the vehicle waits a short distance away and comes in when you are actually out with the cases.

Overseas Passenger Terminal

Circular Quay is the harder of the two to wait at. We manage that rather than asking you to hurry.

Straight to your door

From the terminal it is one uninterrupted run to your street. Bargo's newer streets are fine; the older acreage blocks off the highway are the ones worth flagging. If your driveway is shared or unmarked, mention it and the driver will confirm before pulling in.

The two terminals

White Bay or Circular Quay: Which Terminal Are You Docking At?

White Bay at Rozelle is 90 km from Bargo and the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay is 92 km. Your cruise documents name the one your ship berths at; both are met on the same terms and at the same fare.

What Is the Cheapest Way Home from the Cruise Terminal to Bargo?

A whole ship empties into one rank inside about two hours, and the luggage rules out most of the alternatives. Worth reading before you sail rather than while you are standing there.

OptionTypical cost (2 adults)Door to terminalWhat it actually involves
Private transfer (us)$275 fixed~1 hr 10 min, door to doormet at the terminal doors on your message, luggage carried, one fixed fare, straight home
Train and a walkOpal fares, plus a lift at the far end2 hrs or more, with the casesWhite Bay has no station at all, and from Circular Quay it is a change and then still a car at the Bargo end — with a fortnight of luggage
Rideshare or taximetered, and surge-dependent~1 hr 10 min if a car acceptsbargo's station shuts and the buses stop early, so a late landing means the car or nothing
Drive and parkfuel and tolls plus from about $190 a week in budget long-stay parking~1 hr 10 min plus retrieving the carneither terminal has long-stay parking, so it means a fortnight of inner-west parking fees and then finding the car with the cases

Neither cruise terminal has long-stay parking of its own, and neither is reachable from Bargo without a car at one end. The honest summary: a solo traveller with a cabin bag can make the train from Circular Quay work; two people with a fortnight of luggage cannot.

Landing as a group

Disembarking as a Group? One Vehicle Takes You All to Bargo

Passengers riding minibus interior — cruise terminal transfers to Bargo

Eleven disembarking passengers travel home in one vehicle for $375 — about $34 a seat, against three cars from a rank an entire ship is queuing at. Everyone leaves together, which on that morning is worth more than the saving.

Send the ship, the date, the headcount and an honest bag count. Groups coming off a cruise routinely have more luggage than the seat count implies, and it is far better to know that now than at the terminal.

The rank, honestly

Booked Car or the Rank on Disembarkation Morning?

Two ships, one morning

When two vessels turn around together the rank at Rozelle disappears entirely. A pre-booked car is unaffected.

An open-ended fare on a 71 km run

A metered trip out to this district depends on conditions you cannot see from the queue.

The bags come home heavier

Arrival questions

Cruise Transfers to Bargo: Your Questions Answered

What does the run home from White Bay to Bargo cost?

$275 for a couple, rising in fixed steps to $375 for a full minibus. Terminal pickups add a set $10 fee; there is no weekend loading.

How does the pickup work if disembarkation has no set time?

By message rather than by clock. That is the only arrangement that survives a disembarkation, where the release order is by tag colour and not by cabin number.

Is there a meter running while we queue?

Nothing is charged for waiting. A late berthing, a long customs queue or a slow lift are all free time here.

How long is the drive home?

About 1 hr 10 min for the 90 km from White Bay at Rozelle, and 1 hr 15 min for the 92 km from the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay. The slow part is getting out of the terminal precinct rather than the motorway.

Which terminal will my ship dock at?

We meet ships at both. Rozelle is 90 km from Bargo; Circular Quay is 92 km. If the paperwork is not clear, send it to us and we will work out which.

We are coming back with more than we left with — is that a problem?

Tell us the bags when you book and we size the vehicle to them. On a disembarkation run the luggage usually outranks the passenger count.

When do I actually pay?

No. Nothing is charged at booking and no card is held. You pay the driver at your door on the day, by card, cash or PayID, with a tax invoice emailed afterwards if you want one.

Can you take us straight to our door?

Yes. One vehicle, your party only, terminal to door. Bargo's newer streets are fine; the older acreage blocks off the highway are the ones worth flagging. If your driveway is shared or unmarked, mention it and the driver will confirm before pulling in.

Is a booked car better than the rank at the terminal?

On disembarkation morning, considerably. Two or three thousand passengers come off at once and a 90 km fare out to this district is one plenty of drivers would rather not take. A booked car is already there and already priced.

Can eleven of us travel home together?

Eleven is the maximum in one vehicle at $375. Groups off a ship usually have more luggage than the seat count suggests, so mention the cases at booking.

Is there a charge for child restraints?

Yes and no charge — the ages matter at booking so the right seats are already in the car.

Is there public transport from the cruise terminals?

Realistically no. It is not the distance, it is doing it with a fortnight of luggage.

Do you do multiple drop-offs?

Yes, provided they are close together. Two or three stops in the same suburb is normal and does not change the fare; stops in different towns are quoted separately so nobody is surprised.

What if the cruise is cancelled or the itinerary changes?

No fee. We move it to the new date and the fare stays the same.

What do we need to do on the morning?

Message us when you are actually out. Nothing before that matters, because the release order is by luggage tag and no one can predict it.

Which suburbs nearby do you also drive home from the terminals?

Buxton, Avon, Couridjah, Thirlmere and the rest of the district — all 75 suburbs across Wollondilly Shire, Macarthur and the Southern Highlands, each with its own published fare and its own distance from both terminals.
