Distance and drive time
Allow about 1 hr 4 min for the 60 km from the terminal to the Grasmere corner on Cawdor Road. Through Camden and out onto the Grasmere roads. Quick in distance, but the last section is rural — no kerbs, no lighting, and driveways that open straight off the road.
Coming out of the airport you are pointed away from the congestion rather than into it. That is why the same distance that takes an hour and a bit at dawn often does not on the way home.
