Arrivals from Sydney Airport to Buxton. Buxton is a bush-edged village above the Bargo River gorge, where the sealed roads run out quickly in every direction, and the run home is the leg most people wish they had booked — so we track the flight, wait for free and drive you to the door.
Wollondilly Airport Shuttle meets arriving passengers at Sydney Airport and drives them home to Buxton (NSW 2571) — a fixed-fare private transfer, not a shared shuttle. The driver waits in the P7 Rideshare Pickup Area at T1, or in the priority pickup area at T2 and T3, and the fare is $235 one way for one or two passengers, rising to $385 for eleven in one vehicle. It is 92 km from the terminal to the Buxton shops on Cummins Road, about 1 hr 26 min. Because the booking follows your flight number rather than a stated time, delays cost nothing — sixty minutes of waiting is included at T1 and forty at T2 and T3, timed from the actual landing. Nothing is payable in advance. Book both legs together and the return is done before you have packed. Quote on 0427 143 612.
Fixed fare each way; pickups add $10
Arrivals are the departure fare plus the $10 pickup fee — $235 for one or two people, with the same bands above that.

No holiday surcharge and no waiting fee inside the free allowance — set fees apply only for pickups before 6am or after 8pm. Booking a Buxton transfer costs nothing up front; you pay the driver on the day. Fares reviewed August 2026.
The cheap decision is made in advance. Every option you have at the kerb is priced by the conditions of that night. The one you book from home is not.
Waiting when you land
We size the vehicle to the group and the cases in advance, so nothing has to be worked out in the arrivals hall.

No class is a better service than another. All four include the tolls, the GST, the child seats and the flight tracking, and none of them asks for money before the day. Pick on headcount and bags alone.
The drive home
Allow about 1 hr 26 min for the 92 km from the terminal to the Buxton shops on Cummins Road. Off the Hume at Yanderra or Bargo, then west through the village. The Buxton roads follow the gorge country and they are narrow with soft edges, so the driver keeps the speed down on the last leg regardless of how late the flight ran.
Westbound is the easier direction. The M5 East thins out through the evening, and by about seven the run out of the city is clear — which is why an arrival drive often takes less time than the same trip in the morning.
If you are flying out rather than in, the leave-by times and departure fares are on the Buxton to Sydney Airport page.
Delays, diversions and late nights
The single reason arrival transfers go wrong is a booking made against a scheduled time. Ours is made against a flight number, and this is how that plays out when things move.
The booking follows the aircraft. However late it lands, an hour from wheels-down at T1 is free, and the driver is there when you emerge.
Domestic gets forty minutes of free waiting, measured from the real landing time rather than the one printed on your booking.
Diverted, cancelled or rebooked onto tomorrow? Call or message and we move the booking with no cancellation charge — there is nothing paid in advance to lose.
One flight number does all the work here: it sets the pickup, absorbs the delay and tells the driver when to leave for the terminal.
Meeting points, terminal by terminal

Clear customs and walk out into the arrivals hall. Your driver is waiting in the Rideshare Pickup Area inside P7, opposite T1 arrivals, and will take the cases from there to the vehicle.
T2 and T3 work the other way round: you text from the baggage hall, and the vehicle is in the priority pickup area by the time you reach the doors.
From there it is straight to your address — no interchange, no shared loop, and no other passengers to drop first. Long unlit driveways with bush on both sides are the norm. Leave a light on if you can; if you cannot, tell us and the driver will use the property name on the gate to confirm before turning in.
The other airport
Western Sydney International takes passengers, and we meet arrivals there with its own published fare, the same free waiting and the same door drop.
about 1 hr 10 min · toll-free on our route
Back down The Northern Road and out through Picton to the village. Curfew-free arrivals mean Buxton now gets landings at hours when nothing at all is moving locally, which makes the booked car the only realistic option. Route detail on the Buxton to WSI page.
about 1 hr 26 min · Hume, M5 and tunnel
The overwhelming majority of arrivals we meet are here — inside the hall at T1, at the priority zone for T2 and T3.
$235 from Sydney Airport; Western Sydney has its own published fare. Terminal and length of delay make no difference to the number, and nothing is added for a rail access fee because no train is involved.

Nobody makes a good decision about transport while queuing with luggage, so the comparison is set out here.
| Option | Typical cost (2 adults) | Door to terminal | What it actually involves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer (us) | $235 fixed | ~1 hr 26 min, door to door | a named driver waiting past customs, the cases carried, one agreed price, no stops on the way |
| Train from the airport | Opal fares plus $18.61 station access fee each | 2 hrs or more, if it is running | rail gets you as far as Bargo or Tahmoor at best, with an $18.61 access fee each and somebody still needing to collect you from the platform at the other end |
| Rideshare or taxi | metered, and surge-dependent | ~1 hr 26 min if a car accepts | nothing runs to Buxton after dark and nothing comes out to collect you |
| Drive and park | fuel and tolls plus from about $190 a week in budget long-stay parking | ~1 hr 26 min plus the car park shuttle | only works if you drove yourself out and left the car there — and it means finding the car park shuttle after a long flight before you can start driving |
The station access fee is Transport for NSW's published charge for entering or leaving an airport rail station — check the current figure before you rely on it. The honest summary for an arrival into Buxton: rail can work in daylight with hand luggage, and stops working entirely once the flight is late, the bags are checked, or the last service has gone.
Landing as a group

Eleven arriving passengers are met by one vehicle for $385 — about $35 a seat, against three separate taxis from the rank at whatever the meter says. Extended families, sports teams and friends landing together all book this way.
We need the flight number, the number of passengers and a rough bag count, and that is all. Split across two aircraft? Decide in advance whether you would rather everyone waited together or travelled in two runs.
The rank, honestly
The rank thins when flights are sparse and jams when they are not. It is reliably slowest on the night you most want to be home.
A meter tells you the number at the end of the trip. Ours told you before you left for the airport.
A fare out to a rural address after midnight is a conversation at the rank and a non-event on a booking.
Why book the arrival
Nothing to arrange while you are tired, holding bags and looking for signal. It is on the sheet before you leave home.
Your name at the meeting point beats trying to find a pickup zone in a terminal you may not know well.
An hour from touchdown at T1 and forty minutes at T2 and T3, timed from the real landing and included in the fare.
Booking costs nothing and holds nothing. The money changes hands at the end of the trip, by card, cash or PayID, and we email the invoice afterwards if you want the paperwork.
Capsules, forward-facing seats and boosters fitted before the vehicle leaves for the terminal, at no extra cost.
Midnight arrivals, public holidays and the last flight of the night are ordinary work when the booking is in.

Arrival questions
Between $235 and $385, decided by how many seats you need rather than by the traffic; set fees apply for pickups before 6am or after 8pm. It is the outbound fare plus the $10 airport pickup fee, and any time-of-day fee.
Walk out of customs at T1 and the driver taking you to Buxton is waiting in the Rideshare Pickup Area inside P7. At T2 and T3 there is no hall to wait in, so you message once you have your bag and the car pulls into the priority area for the run out to Buxton.
Roughly 1 hr 26 min to cover 92 km. Evening arrivals usually run clean once past the airport tunnel, since the heavy traffic on the M5 East is heading the opposite way.
It costs you nothing. The booking is tied to the flight number, not a time you nominated, so the driver simply leaves later. Sixty minutes of free waiting applies at T1 and forty at the domestic terminals, timed from the real landing rather than the schedule you booked against.
Tell us the new flight number and the job moves with it. Nothing was taken at booking, so a cancellation costs you exactly nothing.
No, and no pre-authorisation either. Payment happens at the end of the trip, at your door, in whichever of card, cash or PayID suits you at your Buxton address.
Yes. One vehicle, your party only, from the terminal to the address. Long unlit driveways with bush on both sides are the norm. Leave a light on if you can; if you cannot, tell us and the driver will use the property name on the gate to confirm before turning in.
No. The furthest rail takes you is Bargo or Tahmoor, you pay $18.61 each just to leave the airport station, and the last leg still needs a car — normally somebody else's evening.
Usually, and the difference is worst on the bad nights. When several long-haul flights land together the rank slows right down, and a 92 km fare out of the city is one plenty of drivers would rather not take. A booked car is already waiting and already priced.
Yes — at that airport's own published fare. The fare there is $185 for one or two, with the same included waiting and the same drive to your address.
One minibus takes eleven and their bags for $385 — about $35 per seat against three taxis at whatever the meters say. Two flights, two options: hold, or run separately.
Yes, at no cost. Capsules, forward-facing seats and boosters are fitted before the vehicle leaves for the terminal, so we need the children's ages when you book rather than when you land.
Every night of the year, including the last arrivals. Nothing runs to Buxton after dark and nothing comes out to collect you.
A day or two is plenty outside the busy weeks; over Christmas and school holidays give us more for a Buxton run. The easiest approach is to book both legs together when you arrange the departure.
Send a text. Often the car is already on site and it is a couple of minutes; if not, you get a real number of minutes rather than a vague reassurance about the Buxton run.
