The drive home
Allow about 1 hr 13 min for the 84 km from the terminal to the Tahmoor shops on Remembrance Driveway. The run home leaves the Hume at Pheasants Nest and follows Remembrance Driveway south through Picton. It is a fast road at night and the only slow part is the last few hundred metres, where the driveways come off the highway at awkward angles and the driver will take it gently rather than swing in at speed.
You are travelling against the grain of Sydney's peak, which helps. Once past the airport tunnel the westbound run opens up, and by evening it is the fastest it gets all day.

Delays, diversions and late nights
