How long it takes
Allow about 59 min for the 72 km from the terminal to the Maldon Bridge Road turnoff. Off the Hume at Wilton or south from Campbelltown, then down onto the river flat. The works roads are quiet at night, which is the one time of day this is an easy drive.
You are travelling against the grain of Sydney's peak, which helps. Once past the airport tunnel the westbound run opens up, and by evening it is the fastest it gets all day.
