Lakesland to Western Sydney Airport, door to terminal. Lakesland is a thin line of rural blocks between Mowbray Park and the Nattai wilderness, and from here the new airport is the shorter drive: one agreed fare, one vehicle, nobody else in it.
Wollondilly Airport Shuttle drives Lakesland (NSW 2572) to Western Sydney International at Badgerys Creek — a fixed-fare private transfer, not a shared shuttle. The airport takes passengers, and it is 50 km from the Lakesland Road turnoff to the terminal, about 51 min. That is 29 km shorter than the 79 km run to Kingsford Smith, and our route carries no tolls. The fare is $189 one way for one or two passengers, rising to $289 for eleven in one vehicle — the Sydney Airport run from here is $249. Nothing is payable in advance. Send the flight number and we set the pickup around it. Quote on 0427 143 612.
Fixed fare, each airport
The fare to Badgerys Creek is your suburb's published fare: $189 one way for one or two passengers, and the same steps above that.

No holiday surcharge and no card held at booking; pickups before 6am add $20. Tolls and GST are already counted. No advance payment and no card hold — you pay on the day of travel. Fares reviewed August 2026.
Does WSI have its own fare? Yes — $189 for one or two passengers, against $249 to Kingsford Smith, because the price follows the distance from your street and the vehicle you need.
Matched to your group
Passengers and luggage set the vehicle, and we settle that when you book rather than working it out in your driveway.

The western run
Allow about 51 min for the 50 km from the Lakesland Road turnoff to the terminal forecourt. Western Sydney Airport is comfortably closer from Lakesland, and the drive is all ordinary road.
The same trip to Kingsford Smith is 79 km and about 1 hr 14 min, so Badgerys Creek saves 29 km — and, more usefully, it skips the M5 East and the airport tunnel, which is where the Mascot run loses its time on a bad morning.
Arriving rather than departing? The meeting points and free waiting times are on the Western Sydney Airport to Lakesland page.
Departure timing, worked backwards
Western Sydney International is a shorter drive than Mascot from here, so the alarm goes off later — but the terminal deadline works the same way. Here is how we set the pickup.
These are guides. Give us the flight number when you book and we set the exact time against it, including for the first wave of departures after the airport opens.
One terminal, one kerb

A single terminal is one of the quiet advantages of the new airport: no T1-versus-T3 confusion, no shuttle between buildings, just a forecourt and a door.
Coming back the other way, the driver meets you inside the arrivals area with your name, and the flight is tracked so a delay moves the pickup at no cost.
Going out, we collect you at your own address at a time worked back from the terminal deadline — not a meeting point down the road.
The other airport
Kingsford Smith is 79 km from Lakesland and Badgerys Creek is 50 km. The new airport wins on distance by 29 km and on route quality by rather more than that, but the older one still has the wider network of long-haul destinations. Here are both, honestly.
about 1 hr 14 min · Hume, M5 and the airport tunnel
Where the long-haul network still is today, and where most flights out of this district leave from until the new airport's schedule fills out. Departure fares and leave-by times for Mascot are on the Lakesland to Sydney Airport page.
$249 to Sydney Airport, $189 to Western Sydney. The fare is set by your suburb and your group size, not by the terminal at the far end — so switching airports after booking does not change the number.
Get Free QuoteThe honest comparison
Badgerys Creek is a new airport with a road network built for it and a rail line that does not reach this district. That changes how the options compare.
| Option | Typical cost (2 adults) | Door to terminal | What it actually involves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer (us) | $189 fixed | ~51 min, door to door | a fixed published fare, straight from your door to the departures kerb |
| Train or metro | Opal fares, plus getting yourself to the line | 2 hrs or more, with changes | the airport metro runs from St Marys, not from Lakesland — you would need to reach it with your luggage first, which is the trip you were trying to avoid |
| Rideshare or taxi | metered, and surge-dependent | ~51 min if a car accepts | lakesland is at the end of the line in every practical sense |
| Drive and park | fuel and tolls plus from about $190 a week in budget long-stay parking | ~51 min plus the car park shuttle | parking at a brand-new airport is untested at this stage, and it still means leaving a car sitting there for the length of the trip |
Fares, parking rates and the metro timetable at Western Sydney International will settle over its first months, so check anything time-sensitive before you rely on it. The honest summary for Lakesland: for a departure from Badgerys Creek there is no realistic public transport option from this district, which is exactly why a fixed-fare car makes sense.
One vehicle, one fare

Eleven passengers and their luggage travel in one minibus for $289 — about $26 a seat, against three separate cars at whatever the apps are charging that morning. Everyone leaves at once and arrives at once.
Give us the headcount and a rough bag count when you book. If the group is flying out on two different flights, say so and we will either run two pickups or hold one vehicle — a much easier decision now than at 4am.
Booked car or app
A metered or surge-priced trip of 50 km has no ceiling until it ends. Yours was $189 the moment you booked.
An app at 4am in this district is a hope, not a plan. A pre-booked driver is on the sheet with your address and your flight number.
Cases carried to the boot and out again at the forecourt, with child restraints already fitted — not an argument about whether the pram fits.
Why pre-book the western run
You pay your suburb's published price whether you fly from Badgerys Creek or Mascot. Its own fare, usually below Sydney Airport.
The run from here goes up The Northern Road rather than through the M5 East and the airport tunnel — and the toll saving is already inside your fixed fare.
A single building means no guessing between domestic and international, and no shuttle bus between them.
No deposit and no card held. You pay the driver when you get there, by card, cash or PayID.
We are taking bookings now on exactly the same terms as every other run.
Capsules, forward-facing seats and boosters, installed before we arrive and included in the fare.

A fixed $189 one way for one or two passengers, up to $289 for eleven in one vehicle. It is your suburb's published Western Sydney fare, $189; Kingsford Smith is $249.
You can book a transfer for any date from then, and no deposit is taken.
About 51 min for the 50 km. That is 29 km shorter than the run to Kingsford Smith, and the route avoids the M5 East and the airport tunnel entirely.
Yes — 50 km against 79 km, a saving of 29 km, and our route to it carries no tolls. For 74 of the 75 suburbs we serve, Western Sydney is the closer airport; Darkes Forest on the escarpment is the single exception.
One terminal, one kerb. We pull into the departures forecourt, unload the cases and you walk in. The single-building layout is one of the quiet advantages of the new airport.
Nothing up front and no pre-authorisation. The fare is settled at the terminal on the day, however you prefer to pay.
From your boarding time, not a round number. Give us the flight number and we set the exact pickup around the 51 min drive.
Yes — the first departures and the last arrivals are ordinary work here, with set fees for pickups before 6am or after 8pm.
Rail serves the airport from St Marys, not from Lakesland. Getting to that line with checked bags is the problem the transfer solves.
Yes — eleven passengers and their luggage in one minibus for $289, about $26 a seat. One vehicle leaves once and arrives once, which matters more than the saving when there is a check-in deadline.
Yes and no charge. The ages matter at booking so the right restraints are already in the car.
We move the booking free of charge. On the return leg we also track the flight number, so a late arrival shifts the pickup automatically.
Both, each with its own published fare. Kingsford Smith is 79 km from here — the distances, leave-by times and terminal details are on the Lakesland to Sydney Airport page.
All of it, within the class you book. Tell us about skis, clubs, a pram or a wheelchair when you book and we send something with the room rather than discovering the problem in your driveway.
Private, always. One vehicle carries your party and nobody else, and it drives from your address to the terminal without another pickup on the way.
A day or two outside the peak weeks; more for a minibus or for January. Booking the return leg at the same time saves thinking about it twice.
The passenger terminal is the usual drop, but the aerotropolis precinct around it is the same run and the same fare. Give us the exact address when you book.
