From Picton to Western Sydney International: a shorter drive, an untolled route and the same fixed fare you would pay to Kingsford Smith. Picton is the shire's old administrative town, folded into the valley around Stonequarry Creek and the sandstone viaduct.
Wollondilly Airport Shuttle drives Picton (NSW 2571) to Western Sydney International at Badgerys Creek — a fixed-fare private transfer, not a shared shuttle. The airport takes passengers, and it is 47 km from Argyle Street and the shops around the railway end of town to the terminal, about 48 min. That is 31 km shorter than the 78 km run to Kingsford Smith, and our route carries no tolls. The fare is $185 one way for one or two passengers, rising to $255 for eleven in one vehicle — the Sydney Airport run from here is $235. Nothing is payable in advance. Book it with the flight and there is nothing left to arrange. Quote on 0427 143 612.
Fixed fare, each airport

No holiday surcharge and no card held at booking; pickups before 6am add $20. Tolls and GST are already counted. No advance payment and no card hold — you pay on the day of travel. Fares reviewed August 2026.
One price list, a fare for each airport. It keeps the quote simple and it means you can change airports after booking without the number changing.

Every class includes the same things. The only thing that changes between cards is how many people and how much luggage fit.
The western run
Allow about 48 min for the 47 km from Argyle Street and the shops around the railway end of town to the terminal forecourt. Picton is the southern end of the shire, so WSI is not the automatic choice it is around Camden — but it is still thirty-odd kilometres closer than Kingsford Smith and the drive avoids the M5 East entirely.
The same trip to Kingsford Smith is 78 km and about 1 hr 7 min, so Badgerys Creek saves 31 km — and, more usefully, it skips the M5 East and the airport tunnel, which is where the Mascot run loses its time on a bad morning.
Arriving rather than departing? The meeting points and free waiting times are on the Western Sydney Airport to Picton page.
Departure timing, worked backwards
The shorter drive is the whole point, and it shows up as a later pickup rather than a cheaper fare. This is how the time is worked out.
Treat them as a starting point — school holidays and roadwork on The Northern Road both move the calculation, which is what we adjust for.
One terminal, one kerb

There is only one terminal at Badgerys Creek, so there is nothing to work out on arrival — the vehicle stops at the departures forecourt and the bags come out with you.
On the return leg we watch the flight number and meet you in arrivals with a name card — the waiting time after touchdown is included in the fare.
The outbound run starts at your door, at a pickup time we calculate from your flight rather than one you have to guess.
The other airport
Kingsford Smith is 78 km from Picton and Badgerys Creek is 47 km. The new airport wins on distance by 31 km and on route quality by rather more than that, but the older one still has the wider network of long-haul destinations. Here are both, honestly.
about 1 hr 7 min · Hume, M5 and the airport tunnel
Where the long-haul network still is today, and where most flights out of this district leave from until the new airport's schedule fills out. Departure fares and leave-by times for Mascot are on the Picton to Sydney Airport page.
about 48 min · no tolls on our route
The WSI run leaves the Hume behind entirely. We head north out of Picton on Remembrance Driveway to Camden, then up The Northern Road through Cobbitty and Bringelly — ordinary road the whole way, no tolls, no tunnel. It is thirty-odd kilometres shorter than Kingsford Smith and it avoids the one stretch of the eastern trip that is genuinely unpredictable.
$235 to Sydney Airport, $185 to Western Sydney. The fare is set by your suburb and your group size, not by the terminal at the far end — so switching airports after booking does not change the number.
Get Free QuoteThe honest comparison
Badgerys Creek is a new airport with a road network built for it and a rail line that does not reach this district. That changes how the options compare.
| Option | Typical cost (2 adults) | Door to terminal | What it actually involves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer (us) | $185 fixed | ~48 min, door to door | one fixed fare, door to terminal forecourt, with the luggage carried and set fees only for pickups before 6am or after 8pm |
| Train or metro | Opal fares, plus getting yourself to the line | 2 hrs or more, with changes | the airport metro runs from St Marys, not from Picton — you would need to reach it with your luggage first, which is the trip you were trying to avoid |
| Rideshare or taxi | metered, and surge-dependent | ~48 min if a car accepts | picton after eleven is genuinely dark and genuinely quiet |
| Drive and park | fuel and tolls plus from about $190 a week in budget long-stay parking | ~48 min plus the car park shuttle | parking at a brand-new airport is untested at this stage, and it still means leaving a car sitting there for the length of the trip |
Fares, parking rates and the metro timetable at Western Sydney International will settle over its first months, so check anything time-sensitive before you rely on it. The honest summary for Picton: for a departure from Badgerys Creek there is no realistic public transport option from this district, which is exactly why a fixed-fare car makes sense.
One vehicle, one fare

Eleven passengers and their luggage travel in one minibus for $255 — about $23 a seat, against three separate cars at whatever the apps are charging that morning. Everyone leaves at once and arrives at once.
Give us the headcount and a rough bag count when you book. If the group is flying out on two different flights, say so and we will either run two pickups or hold one vehicle — a much easier decision now than at 4am.
Booked car or app
A metered or surge-priced trip of 47 km has no ceiling until it ends. Yours was $185 the moment you booked.
An app at 4am in this district is a hope, not a plan. A pre-booked driver is on the sheet with your address and your flight number.
Cases carried to the boot and out again at the forecourt, with child restraints already fitted — not an argument about whether the pram fits.
Why pre-book the western run
A published fare per suburb for each airport, Badgerys Creek and Mascot alike.
The line we drive west never touches the M5 East, which is the part of the Mascot run that goes wrong most often.
One building, one forecourt, and a road network built for it rather than retrofitted around it.
No deposit, no pre-authorisation, no card on file — you settle with the driver on the day.
Departures can be booked today on the ordinary terms.
Capsules and boosters fitted before the vehicle leaves for your address, at no charge.

Questions, answered plainly
$185 for a couple, rising in fixed steps to $255 for a full eleven-seat minibus. Western Sydney has its own published price list, usually below the Sydney Airport fare.
You can book a transfer for any date from then, and no deposit is taken.
Roughly 48 min to cover 47 km. The saving against the 78 km Mascot run is 31 km, and more importantly it is a run that does not go through the tunnel.
It is: 47 km rather than 78 km. The distance saving is 31 km and the drive skips the M5 East, which is the part of the Mascot run most likely to cost you twenty minutes.
At the departures forecourt. Western Sydney International has a single terminal building, so there is no guessing between domestic and international and no shuttle between them — the vehicle stops at the door and the bags come out with you.
No deposit and no card on file. Payment happens on the day, which is also why there is no cancellation fee if your plans change.
Backwards from the flight rather than forwards from a guess — terminal time, plus 48 min on the road, plus a margin. Give us the flight number and the pickup is set against your boarding time rather than an average.
Any hour, including public holidays; set fees apply for pickups before 6am or after 8pm. A 3am start is a normal shift rather than a special request.
There is a metro planned for the airport itself, but it does not come anywhere near Picton — reaching it means a drive or several changes before you even start, which is usually the trip you were trying to avoid.
Eleven is the maximum in a single vehicle, at $255 for the group. That is almost always less than two or three separate cars, and it keeps everyone together.
All three types, free, and installed before the vehicle leaves for your address. Give us the ages at booking.
Message or call and we move it at no cost. Because nothing is charged in advance, there is no cancellation fee and nothing to refund.
Both, each with its own published fare. Kingsford Smith is 78 km from here — the distances, leave-by times and terminal details are on the Picton to Sydney Airport page.
The vehicle is chosen from your bag count as much as your headcount, and the driver loads and unloads it. A sedan takes two large cases and two carry-ons; the minibus takes eleven people's worth.
Private, always. One vehicle carries your party and nobody else, and it drives from your address to the terminal without another pickup on the way.
Anything from a day ahead usually works, though the holiday periods and the airport's first months fill earlier.
Anywhere in the airport precinct, at the same price. The terminal forecourt is simply where most bookings end.
