Badgerys Creek from Appin, done properly. the plateau town above the Cataract gorge, halfway between the Illawarra and Macarthur — and the run to the new terminal avoids the M5 East entirely, which is most of why it is quicker.
Wollondilly Airport Shuttle drives Appin (NSW 2560) to Western Sydney International at Badgerys Creek — a fixed-fare private transfer, not a shared shuttle. The airport takes passengers, and it is 50 km from the Appin shops on Appin Road to the terminal, about 47 min. That is 12 km shorter than the 62 km run to Kingsford Smith, and our route carries no tolls. The fare is $149 one way for one or two passengers, rising to $219 for eleven in one vehicle — the Sydney Airport run from here is $179. Nothing is payable in advance. Send the flight number and we set the pickup around it. Quote on 0427 143 612.
Fixed fare, each airport
Each suburb has its own Western Sydney fare, usually below the Mascot run — $179 for one or two people.

|---|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | Sedan | $149 | solo flyers and couples |
| 3 | Kia Carnival | $169 | three with the cases |
| 4 | Kia Carnival | $169 | four adults, no squeeze |
| 5 | People Mover | $179 | family holidays |
| 6 | People Mover | $179 | two couples sharing the run |
| 7 | Minibus | $209 | larger family departures |
| 8 | Minibus | $209 | two families sharing one vehicle |
| 9 | Minibus | $219 | sports teams and club trips |
| 10 | Minibus | $219 | teams and work crews |
| 11 | Minibus | $219 | the most we fit in one vehicle |
No holiday surcharge and no card held at booking; pickups before 6am add $20. Tolls and GST are already counted. No advance payment and no card hold — you pay on the day of travel. Fares reviewed August 2026.
Does WSI have its own fare? Yes — $149 for one or two passengers, against $179 to Kingsford Smith, because the price follows the distance from your street and the vehicle you need.
Matched to your group
Passengers and luggage set the vehicle, and we settle that when you book rather than working it out in your driveway.

Every class includes the same things. The only thing that changes between cards is how many people and how much luggage fit.
The western run
Allow about 47 min for the 50 km from the Appin shops on Appin Road to the terminal forecourt. Appin to WSI is a longer cross-country run than most of the Campbelltown and Menangle district but still under the Kingsford Smith distance.
The same trip to Kingsford Smith is 62 km and about 1 hr 1 min, so Badgerys Creek saves 12 km — and, more usefully, it skips the M5 East and the airport tunnel, which is where the Mascot run loses its time on a bad morning.
Arriving rather than departing? The meeting points and free waiting times are on the Western Sydney Airport to Appin page.
Departure timing, worked backwards
Western Sydney International is a shorter drive than Mascot from here, so the alarm goes off later — but the terminal deadline works the same way. Here is how we set the pickup.
These are guides. Give us the flight number when you book and we set the exact time against it, including for the first wave of departures after the airport opens.
One terminal, one kerb

A single terminal is one of the quiet advantages of the new airport: no T1-versus-T3 confusion, no shuttle between buildings, just a forecourt and a door.
Coming back the other way, the driver meets you inside the arrivals area with your name, and the flight is tracked so a delay moves the pickup at no cost.
Going out, we collect you at your own address at a time worked back from the terminal deadline — not a meeting point down the road.
The other airport
Kingsford Smith is 62 km from Appin and Badgerys Creek is 50 km. The new airport wins on distance by 12 km and on route quality by rather more than that, but the older one still has the wider network of long-haul destinations. Here are both, honestly.
about 1 hr 1 min · Hume, M5 and the airport tunnel
Where the long-haul network still is today, and where most flights out of this district leave from until the new airport's schedule fills out. Departure fares and leave-by times for Mascot are on the Appin to Sydney Airport page.
about 47 min · no tolls on our route
North on Appin Road to Campbelltown then west across to The Northern Road. A longer cross-country run than most of the Campbelltown and Menangle district but still under the Kingsford Smith distance, and without the tunnel.
$179 to Sydney Airport, $149 to Western Sydney. The fare is set by your suburb and your group size, not by the terminal at the far end — so switching airports after booking does not change the number.
Get Free QuoteThe honest comparison
Badgerys Creek is a new airport with a road network built for it and a rail line that does not reach this district. That changes how the options compare.
| Option | Typical cost (2 adults) | Door to terminal | What it actually involves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer (us) | $149 fixed | ~47 min, door to door | a published price, your own vehicle, and a driver who is already rostered for the morning |
| Train or metro | Opal fares, plus getting yourself to the line | 2 hrs or more, with changes | the airport metro runs from St Marys, not from Appin — you would need to reach it with your luggage first, which is the trip you were trying to avoid |
| Rideshare or taxi | metered, and surge-dependent | ~47 min if a car accepts | appin's working population travels at every hour, so late arrivals are routine for us here |
| Drive and park | fuel and tolls plus from about $190 a week in budget long-stay parking | ~47 min plus the car park shuttle | parking at a brand-new airport is untested at this stage, and it still means leaving a car sitting there for the length of the trip |
Fares, parking rates and the metro timetable at Western Sydney International will settle over its first months, so check anything time-sensitive before you rely on it. The honest summary for Appin: for a departure from Badgerys Creek there is no realistic public transport option from this district, which is exactly why a fixed-fare car makes sense.
One vehicle, one fare

Eleven passengers and their luggage travel in one minibus for $219 — about $20 a seat, against three separate cars at whatever the apps are charging that morning. Everyone leaves at once and arrives at once.
Give us the headcount and a rough bag count when you book. If the group is flying out on two different flights, say so and we will either run two pickups or hold one vehicle — a much easier decision now than at 4am.
Booked car or app
A metered or surge-priced trip of 50 km has no ceiling until it ends. Yours was $149 the moment you booked.
An app at 4am in this district is a hope, not a plan. A pre-booked driver is on the sheet with your address and your flight number.
Cases carried to the boot and out again at the forecourt, with child restraints already fitted — not an argument about whether the pram fits.
Why pre-book the western run
A published fare per suburb for each airport, Badgerys Creek and Mascot alike.
The line we drive west never touches the M5 East, which is the part of the Mascot run that goes wrong most often.
One building, one forecourt, and a road network built for it rather than retrofitted around it.
No deposit, no pre-authorisation, no card on file — you settle with the driver on the day.
Departures can be booked today on the ordinary terms.
Capsules and boosters fitted before the vehicle leaves for your address, at no charge.

Questions, answered plainly
Between $149 and $219, decided by how many seats you need. Each destination has its own fare: from Appin, Badgerys Creek is $149 and Mascot $179.
We are taking bookings for departures from that date now, on exactly the same terms as every other run — fixed fare, nothing payable in advance.
50 km, normally around 47 min. Kingsford Smith is 62 km from here, so the new airport saves 12 km and the tolled section with it.
Closer by 12 km — 50 km versus 62 km. Whether it is the right airport still depends on where your flight goes from, but on distance alone it wins.
One terminal, one kerb. We pull into the departures forecourt, unload the cases and you walk in. The single-building layout is one of the quiet advantages of the new airport.
Nothing up front and no pre-authorisation. The fare is settled at the terminal on the day, however you prefer to pay.
We work backwards from your boarding time: about two hours at the terminal for an international departure and ninety minutes for a domestic one, plus the 47 min drive and a traffic allowance.
Every hour of every day; set fees apply before 6am and after 8pm. Set fees apply for pickups before 6am (+$20), 8pm–10pm (+$10) and after 10pm (+$20); there is no public-holiday premium.
There is a metro planned for the airport itself, but it does not come anywhere near Appin — reaching it means a drive or several changes before you even start, which is usually the trip you were trying to avoid.
One eleven-seat minibus takes the lot for $219. Beyond eleven we run a second vehicle and quote it in advance.
Yes and no charge. The ages matter at booking so the right restraints are already in the car.
We move the booking free of charge. On the return leg we also track the flight number, so a late arrival shifts the pickup automatically.
Both, each with its own published fare. Kingsford Smith is 62 km from here — the distances, leave-by times and terminal details are on the Appin to Sydney Airport page.
All of it, within the class you book. Tell us about skis, clubs, a pram or a wheelchair when you book and we send something with the room rather than discovering the problem in your driveway.
Only your group. We do not combine bookings, so the drive is direct.
Twenty-four to forty-eight hours is comfortable, and further ahead over school holidays and Christmas. For the opening weeks of the new airport, earlier is better — the first schedules will be busy.
The passenger terminal is the usual drop, but the aerotropolis precinct around it is the same run and the same fare. Give us the exact address when you book.
